Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids

Mibolerone an oral steroid which is a derivative of the hormone nandrolone placed into a 7, 17 dimethylated state. This makes mibolerone far more potent than the parent hormone it is derived from. Mibolerone was developed in 1963 and first marketed by the pharmaceutical company UpJohn under the name Cheque Drops as a vetnary medication. The original use of the drug was for it to be administered to female dogs to prevent them from going into heat, although veterinarians often took caution before prescribing this medication to dogs for extended periods of time due to side effects in the animals which may include clitoral enlargement, aggression, liver damage, and urinary tract problems. UpJohn eventually discontinued the drug and currently there is no prescription medication in existence for humans or animals that is known to contain mibolerone.

AndroGel is a transdermal gel which contains 1% testosterone by weight which is designed to provide continuous delivery of testosterone to the body over a 24 hour period after being applied. It was approved by the FDA as a prescription medication in 2000 and is prescribed to males who suffer from deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone. It is available in 2.5 gram and 5 gram sachets. Roughly 10% of the applied amount is actually transmitted, meaning that for 2.5 grams of application, 2.5mg of hormone would actually be delivered, and for a 5 gram application, about 5 mg would be delivered.

Andriol is a recently developed steroid which was designed in an effort to create an orally available testosterone product that isn’t toxic. The demand for this type of product has been great since most oral steroids can’t be taken for long periods of time, yet many users who are on HRT programs dislike needles and having to take injections to sustain their testosterone levels. The design of this steroid is so that it is to be delivered to the blood through the lymphatic system by bypassing absorption by the liver and being taken in as a fatty oil from the digestive system by the lymphatic system. This is why the preparation of this drug comes in oil filled capsules. This is an innovative idea which was first used in the creation of the unsuccessful steroid quinbolone. However, there is a much higher demand to sustain a drug such as andriol due to the fact that testosterone has a much more profound use in medicine than does boldenone. The system in which andriol was designed to be delivered doesn’t quite work as planned. Test have shown that very little of the hormone actually makes it into the system, and that levels are very inconsistent from day to day with different users.

Oxandrolone is the chemical name of the hormone we know as Anavar, a steroid that was introduced to the market in 1964. The clinical purpose for this drug was as a mild alternative to other steroids, one so mild that could even be prescribed to women and children for the purpose of gaining weight following trauma, surgery, severe infection or illness. It has even been prescribed to patients who fail to maintain a normal weight even without any pathological reason. Currently it has some uses in patients who suffer wasting diseases such as AIDS.

Among steroid users Anavar is known as a very mild and even weak steroid that is only used for cutting purposes. Most people who use Anavar will stack it with other cutting steroids like Winstrol and Primobolan Depot. In a cutting cycle Anavar is taken in an effort to help maintain muscle mass while losing body fat. In bulking cycles Anavar is close to useless since its high price does not make economic sense to use it over other products like Dianabol or Anadrol, both which have proven better at building muscle for less than half the price.

Anadur is steroid very closely related to Deca Durabolin. The active compound in both steroids is 19-nor-testosterone, or more commonly known as nandrolone. The difference between this drug and that of Deca is that Anadur is attatched to the Hexyloxyphenylpropionate ester instead of the durabolin ester which makes it even slower acting than Deca. Because this is a very large ester, the actual amount of nandrolone contained on a mg to mg basis is lower than that of Deca or NPP.

Anabolicum Vister is an oral version of the popular hormone boldenone which has a delivery method similar to andriol and was created in an effort to be a completely safe oral in the same manner that andriol is considered. It uses a similar delivery system to get into the blood as andriol, except with the focus being a shorter ester which was done by adding an ether attachment to the C17-a position to increase the speed at which the hormone was absorbed by the body. The final preparation is provided in an oil sealed capsule with the idea being for the drug to be absorbed by the lymphatic system and avoid being processed by the liver. The problem is that this mechanism doesn’t really worked as planned, and those using the drug are often just feeding large doses of boldenone to the liver. While this is harmless, it does hinder seeing the desired effects of the hormone because most of it never makes it into the blood, thus requiring very high dosages of quinbolone to be consumed in order to see any real effects.
