Clenbuterol is a very potent compound it works in micrograms (1/1000th of a gram). Therefore it’s very hard to dose it correctly. Many Underground Labs have inconsistent dosing. The label claims 20 mcg per tablet, but some tablets contain almost nothing while others are too high dosed. Some Chinese compounders ‘ solved” that problem by overdosing their tabs resulting in unwanted visits at the emergency room in the hospital. Production of tablets and API (raw powder) of Clenbuterol is no longer allowed in China since  September 2012.

In the last few years Clenbuterol (clenbuterol hydrochloride) has replaced Ephedrine HCL (hydrochloride)  as the drug of choice when it comes to fat loss and contest preparation in general. Clenbuterol is used throughout the world as a bronchodilator for asthma patients. In terms of fat loss, ‘Clen' (as it's frequently called) is what's known as a "repartitioning agent" - an agent that increases your ratio of lean muscle mass to fat mass.
 

Clenbuterol belongs to a class of drugs known as sympathomimetics. These drugs affect the sympathetic nervous system in numerous ways. It's specifically a selective beta-2 sympathomimetic, stimulating the beta-2 receptors, which creates a thermogenic effect, directly stimulating fat cells and accelerating the breakdown of triglycerides to free fatty acids. Animal studies have also shown Clenbuterol to be quite anti-catabolic and/or anabolic which obviously leads to its desirability amongst bodybuilders - particularly during the pre-contest phase. However, it should be noted that these studies have been restricted to animal models and there's virtually no human studies showing that Clenbuterol has muscle building/sparing properties. This does little to tarnish its reputation as a great adjunct anabolic - used both off-season and pre-contest. In fact, it might just be the most potent fat-burning agent available to physique athletes today.

Well usage of Clenbuterol is such a little secret also. It’s used before a cycle to trim down and to ‘open up” (being much more susceptible for the upcoming use of a steroid cycle). It’s also used during a cycle to enhance metabolism and also steroid metabolism. Old research from Ciba proved that oral steroids (in the research Methandrostenolone) left the body by excretion partly unused. In this research T3 was used to enhance metabolism, a compound often combined with Clenbuterol. And finally it is effective in PCT as an anti-catabolic. Some people use Clenbuterol during PCT as it allows them to keep eating high amounts of food to keep gains and not get fat.. Clenbuterol also will help shed existing fat and make you look more cut. ACTIVE LIFE

Another attractive quality of this drug is its extremely long half-life in the body which gives it an active life of approximately 24-36 hours. This makes it easy to maintain steady blood levels with a single or twice daily dosing schedule. Interestingly enough, Clenbuterol has never been approved for use in the USA (perhaps the drug companies were worried about the abuse potential among athletes). Despite this fact, foreign Clenbuterol is readily available for purchase on the black market.

Clenbuterol is effective for 14 hours (that’s why you should take it twice daily for optimal effect)it’s effect starts after 10-15 minutes and reaches a maximum effect (thermogenesis = raised body temperature) after 2-3 hours. You’ll reach steady state after 4 days of an equal amount of tablets daily, constant burning fat. Clenbuterol exerts its anabolic (muscle building) effects after 8 days of use.

DOSING AND SIDE EFFECTS

Clenbuterol is a drug where you have to gradually assess your own individual tolerance level. It's advisable to start with 20mcgs upon rising. If the side effects (possible anxiety, shaking and sweating) are not too pronounced, then the same dose can then be repeated later in the day. Dosing is then increased by approximately 20mcg (per day) every 2-3 week. Men generally end up in the range of 40-160 mcg per day. Women usually find 40-120 mcg per day to be effective. Make sure to never take more than 20mcg as your starting dose. A big part of using Clenbuterol is finding an amount that doesn't completely make you miserable (jitters –headache –cramps) if you are that miserable, it’s going to impact your quality of recovery (sleep) and eating and training.
 

As previously suggested, Clenbuterol does have a fair amount of side effects, most of which will be familiar to anyone who has used CNS (Central Nervous System) stimulants. Along with a slight increase in body temperature (due to increased thermogenesis) users may also experience shaky hands, insomnia, sweating, increased blood pressure and nausea. These side effects usually become less noticeable once the user becomes accustomed to the drug. They are also dose defendant which is why it's always advised to begin with a low dose in order to gauge your tolerance level. Clenbuterol should not be stacked with other CNS stimulants such as Ephedrine and Yohimbine. These combinations are unnecessary and potentially dangerous. Caffeine can be used in moderation before a workout for an extra kick, although its diuretic effects may shift electrolyte balance. Drink more water if you use Caffeine.
 

One of the main drawbacks with this drug is that after a couple of weeks it seems to stop working for most people. This is due to the fact that it can cause a down regulation of the beta-receptors in the pulmonary, cardiac and Central Nervous System (CNS). One way to detect this down regulation is when you no longer feel an elevation in body temperature following administration. This would suggest that the substance is no longer exhibiting a thermogenic effect. At this point increasing the dosage would not be very effective and a break of at least two weeks should be taken before it's used again. This accounts for the popular two weeks "on"/two weeks "off" method of administration. However, much controversy exists in this area. Some say clenbuterol can promote fat loss for approximately 4-6 weeks, though any strength gains can usually only be felt for 3-4 weeks. While clenbuterol appears to stop working after a few short weeks, the reality of situation is that it never stops working. It may lose some of it initial potency, but the fat-burning properties do continue, even as long as 16 weeks after its initial use.

The use of anti-histamines such as Benadryl or Ketotifen every 3rd or 4th week may help prevent some of the tolerance although there's no real proof one way or another. One thing that's certain is that the use of anti-histamines should be reserved for nighttime since they are notorious for causing drowsiness.

There's some science to suggest that Clenbuterol depletes the body of the amino acid, Taurine levels in the liver which stops the conversion of T4 to T3. Given this fact, users may want to supplement with Taurine while cycling Clenbuterol. Preload Taurin 200 - 400 mg (some even dose up to 5 gram)  for the proper functioning of the nervous system and .to save yourself from side effects like headaches, muscle cramps and possible stomach cramps. It’s not unusual to get diarrhea. If you are still suffering  gastric or diarrhea problems , you can buy an over the counter medication for that, but you can also  decrease the dosage Taurine supplementation also helps protecting you from heart tissue necrosis, which is not exactly a negligible side-effect of Clenbuterol usage.

 Its also advisible to use Potassium Gluconate. 200 mg - 1000mg for the proper functioning of the heart to save yourself from skipping heartbeats. take it every day,  for as long, as you’re on Clenbuterol taken before bed on an empty stomach. Or consume bananas and oranges, AND drink plenty of water; 1.5-2 gallons a day. Headaches can easily be avoided with Tylenol Extra Strength taken at the first signs of a headache. You may need to take double the recommended dose.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

However you decide to incorporate this substance into your program, you must always start low and never go above 8 tablets a day (with a absolute maximum being 200mcgs per day). Monitor your blood pressure and keep it at (or below) 140/90. If it goes above that, or if side effects become intolerable use common sense and decrease the dose. Clenbuterol not only amplifies your metabolism, but also combined use of other compounds such as caffeine and alcohol or DMAA (Jack3d). Also recreational drugs you want to take during the week-end are more dangerous than normally.

ENHANCING THE EFFECTS

Many competitive athletes find that the fat burning effects of Clenbuterol can be enhanced by combining it with thyroid hormone (particularly Cytomel). The thermogenic synergism in this instance can be very powerful. When combined, these two cutting agents can even counter the fat-storing effects of strong aromatizing androgens. A clenbuterol/thyroid mix is also common when using growth hormone; it boosts both the thermogenic, as well as anabolic effects of the GH.

DOSING AND CYCLING

The fat-loss effect lasts only two weeks and was attributed to a down regulation, or loss of activity, of beta-adrenergic cell receptors induced by Clenbuterol, meaning the fat-mobilizing effect of clenbuterol is extremely short-lived, averaging two to three weeks.

Clenbuterol loses its thermogenic effects after 6-8 weeks when body temperature drops back to normal. It's anabolic/anti-catabolic properties fade away at around the 18 day mark. Taking the long half-life into consideration, the most effective way of cycling Clen is 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off for no more than 12 weeks. Ephedrine can be used in the off weeks. Clenbuterol can be run two weeks on two weeks off but IMO it is more effective run for 6-8 weeks straight using Benedryl(Diphenhydramine) or Ketotifen Fumarate for up regulation of the receptors

Ketotifen is also an anti-asthma drug. Ketotifen keeps the receptors that clenbuterol couples intact. The effect of clenbuterol would normally become insensitive within two weeks. So as a result of the Ketotifen being present, not only would one be able to use Clenbuterol for longer periods, a dosage of 30% less than normal would suffice. Moreover one would suffer less of side effects ie like tremors, sweating, dizziness etc.  High doses of Ketotifen makes many athletes too dull to train properly,  3-4 milligrams is enough. Ketotifen amplifies the effect of drugs like melatonin, alcohol and sleeping pills, it is used as a sleep aid in higher doses. Pharmaceutical companies sell Ketotifen in dosages of 1 milligram per tab. A confessed compound is ' Zaditen '.

This is an example of cutting cycle combining AAS and T3 and Clenbuterol If you want to preserve muscle while using Clenbuterol to cut up, you need to use an anabolic steroid or an anabolic steroids (stack)
