Alopecia

I was in Greece to meet some friends and also spoke to a female friend that is losing her hair due to stress, as long as I know her, she brought something interesting to my attention. She had been to France where a doctor had prescribed her medication to treat her hair problems. Since many people face the same problem, both males and females I want to share this with you.

Millions of people are losing their hair, or more than 15% of the population. An aesthetic problem often overlooked, especially by men after 40 years of age. After all what could be more normal, they say ... But this early hair loss may be much more traumatic for women or young men. However, solutions exist.

Hair loss (effluvium capillorum, effluvium capillorum, calvities) is the process of losing hair and baldness (alopecia) is the end result. There are many causes of hair loss and baldness. The most common is androgenetic alopecia and diffuse hair loss (Alopecia diffusa) after a past illness or pregnancy. Also alopecia areata and scarring alopecia (cicatriciële alopecia) are fairly common. Stress or vitamin deficiency can play a role in alopecia.

The cause of alopecia diffusa does not have to lie in only the skin (AR ), but can also be a metabolic disorder. Thyroid disorders, iron deficiency (strict slimming), intoxication with lead, anesthetics or contact with certain plants can lead to hair loss.

Many already know that they can increase hair growth by introducing proteins and vitamins to the body or by merely stimulating the scalp with beneficial substances. But another lesser known method involves receiving injections for hair growth. This method can either stimulate hair to grow faster or help to revive the hair follicles that are no longer producing hair. Injections are often used to treat alopecia areata which is a hair loss condition caused when your immune system mistakenly attacks your hair follicles. This results in areas of thinning hair and can even cause hair to fall out in clumps for people affected by the disease.

Hair growth injections are certainly not available in an over the counter capacity and are also not offered in all areas. This hair growth treatment is only administered by a licensed doctor and must be accomplished under a high level of medical supervision. This process involves injecting a mixture of the biomatrix ACell and PRP or platelet rich plasma directly into the patient’s scalp, these injections usually run between $2,500 and $3,500.

Other options

Well back to androgenetic alopecia, since this is which most of our readers are interested in.

Lots of hardcore bodybuilders just want giant muscles and if the loose their hair and need to have their titties removed so be it. Pic: Where the fu** are his nipples?

The predisposition for baldness is often genetic. The major suspects in hair loss are, in fact, androgens.

The operation of the androgen testosterone in various organs, is dependent upon the conversion into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. DHT binds to androgen receptors with five times the tenacity of testosterone and consequently has greater downstream activation potency. There are three isoforms of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase: type 1 - 2 and 3. The role of these iso-forms in the appearance of genetic baldness, has not yet been fully clarified, although it seems that the type 2 plays an important role. Finasteride (Proscar or Propecia), a pharmaceutical drug for the treatment of male pattern baldness, inhibits the function of two of the isoenzymes (type II and III), whereas the newer drug Dutasteride (Avodart) inhibits all three. The primary precursor of DHT in men is testosterone, but dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and other weaker androgens, are the precursors for DHT in women.

There are some areas of the scalp that more sensitive to the action of androgens. These areas are called androgen-dependent areas. DHT is, in fact, only toxic to certain genetically predisposed hair follicles. Its presence results in the shrinking of the hair that appears increasingly small and vulnerable. The hair, with the depigmentation which also shows at this stage, is defined as downy hair, similar to that of neonates. If nothing is done with a proper treatment this progressive atrophy proceeds until the death of the hair.

Typically, the androgenic alopecia affects especially the upper part of the temples, manifests itself in the so-called bitemporal recession; thinner than also affect the upper portion of the head and moves up to the full path. Areas less sensitive to the action of androgens to the neck and the lower portion of the scalp; these areas are usually spared by the advance of baldness.

As mentioned, testosterone plays an important role in the onset of baldness as it is the precursor of dihydrotestosterone or DHT, potent androgens that can cause follicular atrophy in some areas of the head with a genetic predisposition.

As we know testosterone increases after an intense workout with weights. A protein-rich diet, and the use of specific food supplements and / or anabolic steroids further increase the amount of testosterone. Even the tanning lamps and excessive exposure to sunlight can weaken the hair and gradually promote the hairloss.

Misconceptions

When a person is genetically prone to male pattern baldness, steroid use will likely accelerate probable hair loss due to higher levels of DHT being present in the body.  There is a prevalent misconception that steroids actually cause hair loss themselves, this is completely false.  Steroids will only cause potential hair loss to follicles that are genetically prone to male pattern baldness.  Meaning, if you’re not prone to hair loss, you have nothing to worry about when you cycle.” Really just look at the “girl” in the header, I bet she wasn’t genetically prone, but you better bet that dose and cycle length really matter. Together with the kind of roids and the combinations.

There are certain steroids that are notorious for causing hair loss, while others do not carry these risks. Mainly, androgenic compounds cause DHT side effects, such as accelerated genetic pattern hair loss.”

All steroids can cause hair loss, again if you notice you lose your hair and don’t want to, look to the roids you are using and the combination, just like the cycle length and the dosing. If you value your hair you can start using prescription meds and natural DHT inhibitors.

As my faithful readers know I mostly post some excerpts of discussion-boards to show what others think about or experienced usage in vivo, their opinion might not be mine though, but it is interesting:

Hair loss is an androgenic side, PERIOD. The more androgenic the AS, the more hair-loss is likely to be a problem.”

“I would like to see the author of that article inject himself with DHT every day and then tell me it isn't worse than any other AS in this regard.”

Bullshit; DHT is hard on the hair because it is 10 times as androgenic as test. Some DHT analogs, like proviron, are not terribly androgenic. the 1-methyl group in proviron greatly reduces its androgenicity.”“BTW, primobolan is NOT a DHT analog as it isn't saturated (no double bonds) like DHT. It has a 1,2 double bond. I guess one could label it a DHB (dihydroboldenone) or 1-test derivative.”

Winstrol was horrid on my hair. The combo of fina and winny, thinned my hair to a horrible degree. “

deca did nothing, dbol did nothing, test did nothing, eq did nothing, tren killed my hair. winstrol is very androgenic and is the only gear i have tried that wrecked my hair. as for women it can cause virilization like any other androgen. women use prop too.”

its all about dose and frequency of injection and predisposition”

ok so mpb can affect us chicks too.. but so far in my experience, tren makes your hair a lil more course and grow faster some places ( oh my god leg hair already!) lol.. so maybe cut and paste some from another area to your head... ? Kidding... winny ewww never again not enough results and DID thin my hair but am taking biotin to nurish.”

…and there is what I want to post about..

Most people with hairproblems search the net and will eventually read about the inhibitors to control DHT, the Monoxidil, the shampoos etc. that’s why I won’t post about that now.

My Greek friend got this combo prescribed:

Biotine + Bephanthene 1+1 ml EOD IM + Pill Food 4 pills ED

And it did work for her, what doesn’t mean it will work for you of course. But this is for everyone that wants to keep their hair and want it beautiful and healthy.

Pill Food is not a protected brandname and since it is tremendously popular in South America and France many companies sell it. In countries like Brazil, Venezuela etc femininity and accompanying beautiful long hair is very important. There it is also possible to have the pills made by a compounding pharmacy. Beneath a translation from a Brazilian beauty-blog:

Have you ever heard of Pill Food? It is a combination of vitamins and amino acids that makes hair grow faster, and treat and leave the strongest threads. It is also great for nails and skin. Ideal for those who are unable to grow hair longer than a certain length, because it just stops growing and begins to fall out. Similar to nails that break when they are larger.

Because of these problems with hair and nails, I made an appointment with a dermatologist. She prescribed two great formulas for making the compounding pharmacy: Pill Food and Nutricosmetic with the combination of methionine, cystine and biotin. True beauty pills!

Pill Food and powerful Nutricosmetic for beauty.

This powerful combination of materials makes the treatment has been completed. It is much better than buying several separate products that do not contain a sufficient dosage to reach the desired effect. Another advantage is the price, which in this manner leaves much into account. But even out cheaper, you need to research a lot, because the doses vary from one compounding pharmacy to another. I do not remember exactly how much I paid because I lost the note, but it was around R $ 100 and few real (even bought a shampoo).

* The formula Pill Food prescribed for me contains: methionine 200 mg cystine 105 mg, calcium pantothenate 25 mg, 25 mg collagen, 1 mg vitamin B2, 10 mg vitamin B6, vitamin H and vitamin E 0.2 mg 3mg. 120 capsules are to be taken twice daily for 3 months treatment time recommended by the doctor to take effect.

* The formula of nutricosmetic contains: methionine 200 mg, cystine 200 mg and 3 mg biotin. This is to be taken once a day and containing 90 capsules. Both formulas have enough doses to meet the daily needs. Before making it’s is better to consult a doctor because your needs may be different from mine, but I think generally these doses are used for most women.

I have been taking these nutricosmetics for two months and I notice a great improvement in general. The hair stopped falling and began to grow faster. Since the last time I cut, it quickly regained its size, growing more than would be normal. It took a long time to achieve good long length. And the breaking of nails also improved, and I noticed the same improvement in my hair.

It is important to take the capsules straight, without skipping times (always after a meal) so that the treatment goes as desired. For me, after a month, I began to see the effects.
