Risk of getting something nasty from raw eggs is virtually nonexistent. There is way more risk from outside of shell if you get your eggs from a farmers market, or anywhere that doesn't sanitize them before sale. Eating them raw does retain a bit more of the protein complex as well. I like 6 whites, 1 yolk and any good protein/BCAA powder in 1% milk. Just enough fat to make it taste decadent.
Also, this may sound nasty, but don't knock it til you've tried it: Egg salad with mostly whites, (a couple yolks just for richness and taste) chopped kosher pickles, (sugary pickle relish is nasty) chopped green onions and some salsa. Yes, salsa. Whatever kind you like. I prefer any with chipotle or green chiles, or hot chunky Pace. Verde is good as well, tomatillos are less acidic, for those who get heartburn.Last edited by timguinness; 10-07-2012, 11:41 PM.Employ your time improving yourself by other men's writings so that you shall come easily by what others have labored hard for. -Socrates
