Just saw a story on the internet news that the slow digesting casein protein is almost as bad as cholesterol in causing plaque buildup in your coronary arteries. They didn;t give much detail but if it is true, isolate whey protein is the only protein powder to take.

Casein, along with several other animal proteins, has been correlated with an increase in development of some autoimmune diseases. Studies have been conducted and are easily available online or in books. "The China Study" is probably one of the most comprehensive studies on nutrition, and what foods could be hurting more than they're helping.
