I like to use "mass bulking vs lean bulking". when going for a mass bulk id say eat anyything and everything. One of our members here suggested putting "gravy on everyhing and eat dirty". During a lean bulk, you really want to focus on hitting your macros and eating as much "clean" food as possible. A lean bulk you will see an increase in lean muscle and ur bf % will either stay the same or drop a little. Mass bulk you will see an over all increase in muscle and body fat. As far as gear is concerned, id say a good mass stack would be test e/deca/dbol and a more lean stack would be test e/eq/tbol/var. These are just examples. its really going to come down to ur diet and how you train. Each compound have thier own unique qualities so its worth it to take the time, read,learn, and apply what youve learned to match your specific goals.

Nature101 you hit it right on the head, I like eating everything in sight. I was 180lbs at 8% b-fat for last summer and in October I started my mass bulk and was able to put on 43lbs, about 20lbs of that was muscle.

i always try to ckeep my food intake clean enough to remain in striking distance when i start my contest diet. i wont go high than somewhere around 10% BF

Once again this is great information and a question I wanted to ask my self. About to run a cycle and wanted to keep it clean and in large amounts for the best lean growth.. Thumbs up on this posting.
As far as I'm concerned, there isn't a difference between the two other than macro intake. For example, I eat fast food like twice a day right now, BUT i keep my macros *close* to where they need to be. I've stayed at 9% bodyfat most of the winter eating like this lol. Personally, I think that the term "dirty bulking" gets used as a replacement term for "overeating" People bulk and get fat and claim it to be from "bulking dirty" when in reality, they were just consuming WAY more than their body needed to grow and the excess got stored as fat
So if im on a simple beginner bulk stack like test/dbol....as long as i eat clean i can more than likely grow lean mass?
Just set a macro goal, figure out what your body needs to grow and start eating. If you see your body holding extra fat, cut back the calories just a tad to keep from gaining more fat.
