Bought some old Paramount equipment/ rust removal?

Hey I bought some old Paramount Equipment and overall its in great shape. There is alittle rust on the chrome and I was wondering if there is something that would remove the rust and than a product I could put on the chrome to prevent this happing again.

Go to any hardware store and there is plenty to choose from. and then after that, just use a good lubricant

how bad is the rust??? you can use light oil and a steel wool pad if its not too bad.

Agreed and there are some products out there that specifically target rust. Then again, if you really wanted to, you could get it media blasted and repainted.

Depending on how heavy the rusting is, you may have to sand it a bit and use rust converter. I removed rust and refinished my rusted weight plates this way, so you may want to check that out.

use some transmission fluid its pretty good with rust.
