Michael Johnson vs. Edward Faaloloto
Round 1
Faaloloto lands the first offense with a thudding inside leg kick and Johnson answers with a punch-kick combo. Both lightweights throw flurries and it?s Faaloloto backing Johnson up now. They clinch up and Faaloloto muscles his man into the cage. Johnson grabs the Thai plum and misses with a knee. He doubles over for a takedown and eats a few elbows and punches from Faaloloto, but eventually gets the Hawaiian down. Underhook from Faaloloto gets him back on his feet and he lands a knee as he stands. Still three minutes left in what has been a very active opening round so far. Faaloloto is scoring big with hard kicks to the lead leg of the southpaw Johnson, who is sneaking the left hand through. Johnson switches up his stance and has his leg buckled with a kick. He pushes forward and puts a one-two on Faaloloto, then scores a takedown and gets to work with bully ground-and-pound. Another Thai clinch from the bloodied Johnson, and his knees begin finding their way up the middle. They?re connecting to the solar plexus at first, but then one finds its way up top. A big right hand sends Faaloloto crashing to the mat, and he covers up in the fetal position against the cage as Johnson unloads. Faaloloto is still awake, but not offering anything in return, and referee Mark Matheny has seen enough at 4:42 of round one.

Matt Grice vs. Ricardo Lamas
Round 1
Grice starts off with leg kicks and single straight punches, but it?s a Lamas right hand that puts Grice stumbling backwards. Nice head kick grazes for Lamas, who covers up to avoid a Grice combo and circles out. Lamas blocks a head kick, throws one to the leg of Grice, and shoots a single-leg against the fence. Grice defends and punches away as Lamas continues to dig for the takedown. He gets it with three minutes left on the clock and controls Grice?s leg at the base of the cage. Side control for Lamas on Grice?s left side; Grice?s right side is to the fence, and he tries to wall-walk out of it. Lamas lets Grice back up and cracks him with a knee on the way up. Back to trading, Lamas goes back to the leg kicks, one of which spins Grice around. Grice times a low kick and pops Lamas over the top. Lamas catches Grice leaning and puts a shin on his face. Grice wobbles backward into the fence and Lamas assaults him. Grice stumbles to his feet for a brief second, only to be knocked back down and rescued by referee Keith Peterson. The stoppage victory for debuting featherweight Ricardo Lamas comes officially at 4:41 of round one.

Charles Oliveira vs. Nik Lentz
Round 1
Oliveira takes the center of the cage and walks Lentz down with a punch-leg kick combo. Lentz gets a takedown in the middle of the Octagon, but Oliveira grabs at a leg and the wrestler immediately backs out. Lentz eats an upkick and waits a moment before going back into Oliveira?s guard. The Brazilian grabs for a leg again, and again Lentz stands and is upkicked. Lentz goes to Oliveira?s half-guard briefly, backs up and lets him up. Solid knees in the clinch from Oliveira, then a popping left hook, a leg kick. More knees up the middle and Oliveira stuffs a takedown and goes over the top on Lentz. Halfway through the round now, Oliveira and Lentz connect with right hands at the same time, but it?s Lentz who goes down. Oliveira pounces and finds a deep anaconda choke, rolls into full mount, then back underneath. It?s extremely deep, but Lentz won?t tap. The American waits it out and stands, then slaps on a guillotine of his own and drops back. This looks to be cinched tight as well, but Oliveira escapes to the feet and drops Lentz with a knee. A left hand is followed by another hard knee from Oliveira, and he tosses Lentz to the floor. After a few punches, Oliveira finishes a blistering first round in half-guard. Round 2
Oliveira walks Lentz into the cage and answers a leg kick with a flying knee. The Brazilian youngster leaps guard, but winds up in a headlock, in Lentz?s guard. It doesn?t look tight, and Oliveira flips over the top. Oliveira stands and puts a clearly illegal knee on the still-kneeling Lentz?s face. Referee Chip Snider doesn?t acknowledge it, but the crowd does, booing as Oliveira tees off with punches. Lentz is turtled, in big trouble. Oliveira puts his hooks in and sinks in a rear-naked choke, forcing the tap from Lentz at 1:48 of the second round. During the post-fight interview, UFC commentator Joe Rogan announces that the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission will review the fight due to the obvious foul.

Daniel Roberts vs. Rich Attonito
Round 1
Roberts comes straight across the cage at Attonito, throwing up hard-but-blocked head kicks. Superman punches from “Ninja” miss their marks, but he puts a knee on Attonito in the clinch. Roberts appears to consider a takedown, then stands back up straight and swings away. Roberts slips on a kick and finds himself moving backward, with Attonito stalking forward and measuring the range with a pawing left. Single-leg from Roberts is easily shut down by Attonito, but Roberts follows up with a Superman punch. The welterweights trade knees in the clinch, then split, and it’s still Attonito coming forward. He catches Roberts ducking low with a punch and a headlock, but quickly lets him go. Attonito puts Roberts on the fence, can’t get him down with a single-leg, and goes back to stalking. Leaping knees from Roberts land, though his follow-up shot is sprawled on by the American Top Team fighter. Attonito spins and tries to take Robert’s back, winds up in side control, then half-guard. Mashing right hands down the stretch from Attonito, who finishes the round standing above Roberts. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Attonito.

Round 2
Roberts quickly gets inside for a takedown and then takes the back of Attonito standing. Ninja falls back with hooks in place and works to put his right arm under the throat of Attonito with more than four minutes remaining in the round. Attonito is defending well, but is trapped at the base of the fence and doesn’t look to be going anywhere. Attonito does twist and turn into Roberts, though, and finds himself in Roberts’ half-guard, framing up an arm-triangle choke. Attonito is forced to relinquish the hold when Roberts goes for a leg, but the “Raging Bull” keeps Roberts down and slugs with punches from guard. Right hands to the ribs and face of Roberts land flush, and the Cesar Gracie pupil isn’t offering anything in return. Attonito lands a few dozen punches in the final minute, and a particularly nasty flurry to finish off the horn. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Attonito.

Round 3
Both men throw kicks in the early going of the final round, but Attonito is clearly the much fresher fighter. His right hands and outside leg kicks come hard and fast, while Roberts lobs out tired strikes, turning his back and ducking away as Attonito unloads against the fence. Attonito comes forward, catches his man ducking and plants his right shin directly on Roberts’ temple. Roberts slowly crumples to the mat and Attonito pounces, unloading with punches, but it’s not enough to get a stop from referee Keith Peterson. Roberts survives and rolls for a leg, causing Attonito to back out. Roberts gets to his feet, but he looks completely wiped. Nonetheless, he tries to shoot and strike, but Attonito is shutting everything down. The ATT fighter sprawls on a shot with about 80 seconds to go and socks Roberts a few time before diving into his guard. Attonito backs away and Roberts tries to sneak up, but Attonito catches him and zaps him with a knee. A pair of hard right hands put Roberts on even more rubbery legs, but he still finds the energy to leap forward with a knee. Roberts ties up and finishes the round on his back, Attonito in his guard. Joe Lauzon vs. Curt Warburton
Round 1
Referee Chip Snider, who officiated the Oliveira-Lentz bout earlier this evening, is booed by the Pittsburgh crowd as he’s introduced. The lightweights get started and Warburton circles Lauzon, landing left hooks and right straights. Lauzon can’t seem to find his range, but then zaps Warburton with a hard right-left hook combo. The Massachusetts native gives chase and stacks Warburton on the fence. After a few punches, Lauzon decides to wrench a kimura on Warburton’s right arm. Lauzon falls back and throws up a triangle for good measure. His arm twisted grotesquely, Warburton is forced to submit at 1:58 of the opening frame.

Joe Stevenson vs. Javier Vazquez
Round 1
Stevenson rushes to the center of the canvas, but stops abruptly there. Vazquez drives forward and puts Stevenson on his back, and Stevenson grabs onto Vazquez’s left arm. It’s an inverted armbar attempt from Stevenson, who puts the limb over his right shoulder and waits. Vazquez sits patiently and extracts his arm, then instantly spins for an armbar. It’s an aborted attempt and Vazquez instead settles for half-guard. Vazquez tries to extract his left leg and hop to mount, popping Stevenson with a few short punches, but referee Keith Peterson issues a stand-up order halfway through the round. Vazquez socks Stevenson with a straight left and slips inside for a single-leg, but can’t find it. The BJJ specialist misses over the top with a left and spins Stevenson down with a single-leg this time. Back to the same half-guard position, Vazquez puts short punches on Stevenson’s head and ribs in the last minute. Stevenson gives a look of frustration at the peppering shots just before the horn. Round 2
The jab of Vazquez is keeping a grimacing Stevenson at range in the opening minute, leaving “Joe Daddy” unable to land. The straight rights are occasionally followed by left hooks from Vazquez. With three minutes on the clock, Stevenson rushes forward and shoots on Vazquez, who instantly locks up a tight guillotine. Vazquez jumps guard and the choke looks serious, but Stevenson manages to slip his way out. Underhooks for Stevenson yield no takedown, instead allowing Vazquez to toss him down. Vazquez punches, leaves a little space, and spins onto Stevenson’s back as he tries to escape. Stevenson dodges a rear-naked choke attempt and twists free, reversing the position on the fence and then standing back up. Stevenson is smiling as the tiring Vazquez whiffs on punches in the closing seconds, but Stevenson misses on a big overhand left himself. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Vazquez.

Round 3
As Vazquez tries to reestablish his jab, Stevenson comes alive with some sharp punches and leg kicks. Stevenson has more energy and is pushing forward, but isn’t putting any volume of punches on Vazquez, who’s still scoring with counterpunches. Jab-jab-cross combo from Vazquez as he circles out. Stevenson responds with a chopping leg kick. Vazquez suddenly looks on the verge of falling over from exhaustion; Stevenson backs him into the fence, but can’t score with a knee. Another leg kick lands for Stevenson, and a hard, short left. Stevenson grabs Vazquez’s head with a minute to go and drives a knee up the middle. Mouth hanging open, Vazquez continues to plant right hands on Stevenson as Stevenson comes forward, egging him on. Vazquez puts one last left hand on Stevenson as the horn sounds. Stevenson jogs around the cage while Vazquez, the likely winner, puts his hands on his knees. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Vazquez, and the fight 30-27 Vazquez.

Tyson Griffin vs. Manny Gamburyan
Round 1
Both men come swinging over the top, but Griffin lands first with a leg kick. After a minute of circling and feinting, referee Chip Snider tells the featherweights to get busy. Griffin lands another outside thigh kick, then comes forward with punches and is taken down by Gamburyan, who runs his man into the fence. Gamburyan tries to punch, but can’t find much space. He grabs a loose guillotine as Griffin scrambles to his feet. Gamburyan releases the hold after a minute, but then hurls Griffin to the canvas and leaps onto his back. The “Anvil” slugs away from the back of the standing Griffin, who soon shucks him off. Gamburyan gets underhooks on the fence, can’t spin Griffin down and goes on the defensive against a Griffin takedown. Gamburyan grabs another headlock to stifle it and dodges a lunging punch from Griffin at the end of the round. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Gamburyan.

Round 2
Gamburyan ducks low and changes stances on Griffin, then tries a front kick. He socks Griffin with a hard combo, backs out and dances a bit. Gamburyan eats three or four hard leg kicks as he circles the outside, then stays upright on a Griffin shot. He catches a Griffin kick and tries to get inside for the takedown, and Griffin sprawls all over it. The next time, Gamburyan catches a right kick and pops Griffin with a right hand. Griffin steps inside with a high knee and a punch, but his leg connects with Gamburyan’s cup. Gamburyan doesn’t need much time to recover and they resume on the feet with about 90 seconds left. Gamburyan’s left thigh is bright red from Griffin’s kick attack, and the wrestler puts a few more on in the last minute. Just after the 10-second clapper, a left inside thigh kick from Griffin lands square on Gamburyan’s cup. They pause briefly and then finish the round uneventfully. Round 3
Gamburyan comes out winging punches and lands a right leg kick of his own, but gets stuffed on a takedown. Griffin puts a hard left hook in Gamburyan’s breadbasket and snuffs a takedown attempt, putting Gamburyan’s back to the fence. Griffin has a single-leg as Gamburyan leans over the top, framing up a kimura. Neither man succeeds; rather, they split and Gamburyan gets Griffin down against the cage in the pursuit. Griffin stands, but Gamburyan takes him for a ride back down, nearly taking his back. Griffin sneaks out and instead tries to take Gamburyan’s back, only managing a few punches before Gamburyan scrambles to his feet. With under two minutes to go, they clinch on the fence with over-unders, Gamburyan landing knees up the middle. Gamburyan eats a leg kick, catches the next one and ties up with Griffin again. Gamburyan tries to turn the corner for a takedown, but Griffin sprawls. Griffin grabs at a guillotine in the last few seconds; there’s nothing there and he’s instead taken down by Gamburyan. Both men circle the cage with their arms raised at the end. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Griffin, and the fight 29-28 Griffin.

Official scores: Despite the initial announcement of a “unanimous” decision with two 29-28 and one 29-29 score, MMAJunkie.com reports that all three judges scorecards were in fact 29-28 for Tyson Griffin.

Matt Mitrione vs. Christian Morecraft
Round 1
Morecraft walks to the center of the cage after Mitrione enters and the two go face-to-face in an unauthorized staredown, prompting referee Mark Matheny to step between them. There’s no glove-touch when the action begins, but when Mitrione catches Morecraft low with a kick 40 seconds in, they slap hands. Mitrione goes inside with a thigh kick and then puts Morecraft on his posterior with a left straight. Mitrione lets Morecraft back up to his feet and matadors as he comes forward. Mitrione’s inside thigh kicks are answered by Morecraft, but Morecraft just can’t hit the mark with his punches. Mitrione is slipping almost every bit of offense from Morecraft up top, popping him with left hands as he does. Morecraft takes an awkward punch to the neck and looks toward referee Matheny for a pause. None comes, and Mitrione socks him with a left hand, then a right that puts him down. Morecraft looks to be out, but he recovers and gets on top while Mitrione looks toward the ref. Morecraft survives to the horn on top, but has his mouthguard knocked out by a burst of punches from Mitrione. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Mitrione.

Round 2
Mitrione goes right back into his rhythm from the last round, dodging punches from Morecraft while leg-kicking and sniping with big shots up top. He grins when Morecraft’s punches miss, but Morecraft then connects with a few solid inside leg kicks. They don’t wipe the smile off of Mitrione’s face, but the subsequent double-leg into the fence does. Mitrione tries to stand back up at the midway point in the fight, Morecraft still attached to his waist. Back to his feet goes “Meathead,” but he’s soon dumped back down by Morecraft with a waistlock. Mitrione looks to be breathing heavy from the bottom as Morecraft tries to posture up in his full guard. Morecraft isn’t there long before referee Matheny stands them back up with 70 ticks left on the clock. Mitrione gets a few punches off and sidesteps a far-out takedown attempt from Morecraft, whose momentum sends him falling to the floor. Morecraft stands back up and eats a three-punch combo from Mitrione. This time, he’s not getting back up. It’s a dominant performance and a heavy knockout from Matt Mitrione at 4:28 of the second round.

Matt Brown vs. John Howard
Round 1
Referee Dan Miragliotta makes his first appearance of the evening in this welterweight tilt. The muay Thai specialist Howard comes out firing hard leg kicks before the pair tie up and stall out along the fence. Brown shoves off and has a high kick blocked. The next kick to the body is caught by Howard, who tries for a takedown, but ends up beneath Brown in the scramble. More outside leg kicks from Howard, and Brown gets through with a combo and a glancing high kick. Again, Howard catches a kick and drives Brown into the cage with a high single-leg. The Boston native gets “The Immortal” down for a second, but Brown pops right back up. Brown lands a knee in the clinch, catches a low kick from Howard and trips him to the floor. Howard is stunned and Brown tries to give chase with a brabo choke. He lets it go and the pair stand along the fence, where Howard dumps Brown onto his back. Howard’s in side control and Brown uses his legs to create momentum and turtle, then stand. Howard hits another throw, but again Brown is right back up, and Brown finishes a close first round strong with a string of combinations. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Brown.

Round 2
Howard is back to the single-leg attempt in the first 30 seconds of the round. Brown stuffs it, but then gets stuffed on a takedown try of his own. Now the pace slows as Howard clings to Brown’s left leg on the cage. Brown punches to the head and ribs, then looks toward his corner before trying a guillotine. It’s abandoned quickly and the 170-pounders split. Brown hits a knee to the body of Howard and trips him to the floor, landing in the half-guard of “Doomsday.” Two minutes to go in the second and Howard and looking exhausted as he tries to defend the guard pass in the center of the cage. Not much offense coming from either man, just grappling for position as the second round enters its last minute. Howard looks to secure an arm, then a leg, prompting Brown to back out and Howard to wind up on top. Brown has an omoplata, though, and isolates Howard’s left arm, throwing a few short punches as the round ends. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Brown.

Round 3
Howard lands a pair of leg kicks and gives chase as Brown circles the perimeter. Brown shoots in and puts Howard down against a cagepost, grabbing an ankle. Howard gets the leg loose and stands, looking for a guillotine with Brown still on his knees. Instead, Howard dips around and attempts to take Brown’s back, but Brown is tangling up his wrists. Howard goes to the front and lifts Brown into the air with a single, but the slam doesn’t come. The sequence repeats and Brown again stays vertical, then drills Howard with punches. Howard turns his back and runs to create space; Brown chases him down to the other side of the cave. Howard tries a single-leg, then a bodylock and eventually tosses Brown to the floor. Brown has half-guard and is working on the left arm of Howard, then abandons that and throws elbows from guard. Howard tries a kimura from half-guard as the round and the fight expire. Charlie Brenneman vs. Rick Story
Round 1
Mark Matheny is the third man in the cage for this short-notice co-main event. Brenneman comes right in and ties up, but gets tossed down by Story. Quickly back up is Brenneman, who sprints away from another Story takedown. Story catches Brenneman coming inside with a knee to the chest. Brenneman follows through and puts Story’s back on the cage. Story reverses and the welterweights trade knees inside. Story can’t find a takedown, backs out and stuffs a single-leg from Brenneman. The “Spaniard” is tenacious, though, and drags Story down, if only for a moment. Story walks Brenneman down, misses with a three-piece and gets taken down. Brenneman lands on top in half-guard, trying to extract his left leg. He does, and the AMA Fight Club product ties up the head and arm of Story as ref Matheny calls for activity. Punches to the body by Brenneman are answered by elbows from Story, but Brenneman is putting forth the greater volume. Brenneman shoulder-shrugs Story, who is tying up and looking for a restart while Brenneman pounds away at his ribs on the left side. Story throws up his legs, tries to squirm free in the last 20 seconds, but Brenneman stays on top. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Brenneman.

Round 2
Brenneman hits another takedown in the center of the cage in the first 20 seconds. He’s in half-guard, but Story sits up and finds a guillotine under his left arm. The Brave Legion fighter leans back and Brenneman walks to north-south position, escaping danger. Back to the feet they go, where Brenneman blocks a lunging knee from Story. Behind a missed punch, Brenneman drives forward and puts Story on his back once again. Story pulls rubber guard, then back to full. He digs his heel into the backside of Brenneman, whose offense is more sporadic from the top now. Brenneman avoids a right-armed guillotine from Story by passing to the left side, but Story doesn’t let it go. The round finishes with Brenneman on top again. Round 3
It’s another takedown for Brenneman. This time, however, Story latches on to the Spaniard’s left arm, his legs on either side of Brenneman’s head, working for a kimura. Brenneman stays calm and kneels, and referee Matheny issues a puzzling stand-up call while Story is still trying for the submission. Brenneman spins Story down with a single-leg, and they’re right back into the same position. Story locks in a triangle on top, can’t close it and Brenneman nearly escapes. As he goes to his back, Story nearly closes the triangle, but Brenneman goes to his knees again. Story pulls his foot under his knee, but both men are tired and sweaty, and he can’t finish the submission. Story winds up in full mount on the scramble and shrugs Brenneman’s head into the canvas repeatedly while Brenneman hugs to control Story’s posture. Story postures up and Brenneman slips out the backdoor with 30 seconds to go. Story tries another kimura from his back as time expires. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 Story, but the bout 29-28 Brenneman.

Official scores: All three judges score it 29-28 in favor of the winner by unanimous decision, Charlie Brenneman.

Patrick Barry vs. Cheick Kongo
Round 1
Kongo flicks out a leg kick and Barry tries to come over the top with a right hand. Barry shoots on the much larger Frenchman and turns back out. Kongo keeps Barry at bay with push kicks and whips a few for damage to the outside of Barry’s left thigh. Left straight from Kongo splits the guard of Barry, who keeps coming forward and takes a few more leg kicks. Kongo’s back is scraping the fence as he circles away from Barry. A massive overhand right from Barry lands on Kongo’s temple and Kongo shoots in desperation as Barry swarms. Miragliotta nearly steps in to call the fight, but thinks better of it. Kongo stands, falls backward, still totally dazed, but Barry can’t finish him. Barry marches forward and Kongo puts a right hand on him. The follow-up right uppercut from Kongo turns out Barry’s lights instantly. Kongo pounds away, but Barry is already out cold, eyes wide open. The official time of the brutal finish is 2:39 of the first round.
