Donnie has just changed careers and begins a relationship with Mara, a single woman in her late 30s, who’s looking to quickly settle down. Since Donnie left the police force, he has been cultivating his interest in bodybuilding for quite some time and a questionable mentor from the gym tries to recruit Donnie into competing. Donnie and Mara’s personalities and priorities collide when Donnie makes a critical decision.
