  • first experience with blood and injection. HELP!

Today was my my 10th injection. I injected as always and pulled back a little to check for blood. Everything was good so I pushed in. when I removed the pin i noticed an instant droplet of blood on the injection site as I was placing gauze and band-aid. I thought weird but no worries. I went to bend, and cap my pin and saw tiny blood droplets suspended in the left over oil in the base of the pin where it screws into the syringe. Now I'm worried.
Where could this have come from?! I was sure to pull back before I injected. Is this ok?!

    Please let me know!!!!

Are you still breathing.....yeah, youre good. haha. Dont freak out man, happens to me from time to time. You probably just nicked a vein. Nothing to worry about. Think about, you bleed when you get a papercut, your sticking a pin in your body, theres a possibility you could see some blood.

Thanks man. I usually see blood on the gauze when I remove it a few hours later but NEVER when I pull the pin out. The small amount in the syringe is what really freaked me out. First cycle and first scare. Needed to know I was gonna live! lol.

SoooLucky, not so much a vein. but more a blood vessel, you'll be fine. There are times where the blood will shoot out in a stream, just hold and but pressure on it for a while and it will be good in a few minutes.

Yeah, I've had a couple gushers before. Not funny when it happens, but now I'm pretty proud of the distance I achieved. (At least 6 feet.) It looks kind of gory, but don't worry bro, you'll be fine. If you're taking care to pin proper areas, there is only a minuscule chance of hitting a major blood vessel. Remember, HRT doctors let just about anybody inject themselves. If it was truly dangerous, they would never accept the liability of allowing any meathead off the street to pin himself.
