Hello I think I need some advice. Lets say the process of whatman filtering was tedious and slow. If I was looking into vacuum filtering some test 400, can any of you brilliant hobbyists share some opinions of the process and best equipment to use to speed of the filtering process? Thank you in advance because your knowledge will really help me...

I always use the old whatman filter with loose papers. It can be used on a glas recieverflask that is connected to a handpump or automatic pump. If you google WHATMAN FILTER you'll find it, then you can order filters in boxes of 100pcs in 20 micron and 45 micron etc etc best to use a pre-filter also to prevent clogging. If you use nalgene (from your link)use the blue ones and a prefilter

How much are you planning on filtering. I just did my first homebrew and I used a whatman syringe filter. The whole filtering process took less than 20 minutes. Very easy to do. I used a caulk gun to aid in the plunging the syringe. Fingers did not get sore at all. I have a millipore and a Nalgene filter that I will use next time I brew. I bought both to see which I liked better. This time I just went with the whatman because I only made 30ml of Test E. Started with a small batch since it was my first time. If your planning on doing smaller batches, i would recommend a caulk gun and syringe filter. Heres how my experiment turned out.
