Good day mates,
My name is Chris, I am 29 years old and have hit a plateau, well i guess this is actually one of many in my fitness stent. I have been lifting hard since 2002. I am naturally a tall skinny guy 6'3 175 back in 02' now i am 205 body fat around 12%, the most i ever weighed was 212 body fat 15%. I have been looking at different forums for the past week and decided that this looks like a great place to learn and grow.
I know diet is my weak-point right now and that is hard to fix (I work six 12-hr night shifts then I am off eight days).
A normal workday of dieting for me looks something like this. (the time i eat at is in parenthesis.)
Breakfast (1500) - three whole eggs, two whole wheat wraps, cheese, and a glass of fruit juice that i blend myself.
(Workout)
snack 1 (1530) - 33 grams protein
snack 2 (2100) - large pbj
lunch (0100) - large bowl of vegetable soup with cheese and a sleeve of crackers.
snack 3 (0300)- grapefruit
dinner (0715)- three boiled eggs and two toast with butter
Thats pretty typical with the exception of, if I don't pack soup i will take baked chicken for lunch.
i workout one body part a day and recently started doing two workouts a day on my eight days off. i save most of my rest days for days i am at work because i don't get as much sleep over the six i work.
for example tomorrow is chest day i will go at 0900 and do a light weight workout for higher reps focus on volume but, never getting to failure. In the afternoon lets say 1600 i will hit a more intense workout and focus on heavy weight to failure. I will follow that with back, shoulders, legs, arms, cardio, and chest again then on my first day back to work i will take a rest day.
I am looking for some good advice on what to do. I would love to weight 215-220 with a body fat of 9 year round. i feel with my height that weight is do able.
any suggestions are much appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris
