Hello JM. Came across the site about a month ago and have been reading "stickys" and posts in order to educate myself. I havent been able to find the answer to my question so I will include it in my intro.

First off, I'm 38 and have never used gear (thank you slang, abreviation sticky ). I've worked out off and on since high school and have read the likes of flex magazine to prescription rx to ironman throughout the years.

I developed gyno at a young age. I think I was in the sixth grade when I began to notice it. It became very bad, and eventually by grade 8, I had to have surgery and lipo to have it removed. I guess what I am searching for is some more info on gyno. I've read alot of posts on it, and have taken in some info on Ai's (damn I love that slang sticky!) I'm wondering, having pubescent gyno, would make me more susceptible to getting it again if I would go on a cycle? According to some of what I've learned, some of the gear doesn't aromatize as easily as others do. However, I've also read that most agree cycles should contain test which will aromatize.

I've been impressed with the knowledge of the members of this site from the past posts that I've read, and look forward to reading any responses. Thanks in advance!

First off, welcome bro... Yes Test should always be the base to a cycle, as far as being more susceptible to gyno, I have no clue....but you should be safe if you take the right amount of AI's....What are your current stats and diet??? Also what are your goals

Well thanks fellas. Cfinch as far as stats, I guess I would say I'm still a ways away from even considering a cycle as I "have let myself go" in the last couple of years. Five years ago, I was 225. No abs or anything, but in good shape and great bloodwork numbers. I went over 300 for a while, and have finally seemed to have gotten it under control and am back under 3 now. I guess now that I'm eating better again, it could be considered the "body for life" diet. Basically 5-6 meals a day, with a portion of protein, portion of carbs, and a portion of vegetables, or a muscle milk light shake if I don't eat a meal. So with that hear are my goals:

      1. Get back close to that 225 range.
      2. When I get there, I would consider a cycle as this seemed to be a sticking point for me.
      3. Gain strength. In shape, I've always been one of the more muscled dudes in the gym, but far from the strongest. I've always watched little dudes lift a ton of weight, when I can't. In fact, 225 is my one rep max bench press. I'm hoping more strength would eventually yield more muscle gains.
      4. Stick to my diet and be able to maintain my weight, especially as I get older.

You most likely will get it if you are prone to it especially from a young age. But if you already have gyno then surgery only way to remove it. You can have nolva, etc on hand to use at first signs.

My guess is you would be more susceptible to get it again also, but there is gear that is mild and there is AI's that are very strong and work well. IMO I wouldn't even think of using gear unless your at lest below 20% b-fat, if not you'll get some good gain and won't be able to see them. Keep researching, you will find what your looking for. Then you'll be able to make sound decisions on your own, but we are all here to help if you can't find what your looking for brother. Glad to have you here at JM.
