    Hey everyone.

    I am brand new to this and I am doing lots research prior to my first cycle.

    I am a slim dude and find it extremely hard to gain. I am 5'9" and 135lbs. Slim. I get defined easily because I have little body fat.

    From the research I've done, I am looking to slowly start. I am thinking of beginning with anavar and HGH.

    Sound ok as a way to enter into it slowly?

    Not really.. IMO the best 1st cycle for all newbies is 300 - 500mg Test for 10-12 weeks.

    If u wish to add HGH (good idea if ur older) u need at least enough for 20 weeks (5on2off) - start @ 2ius go up from there.

      if u have the money for HGH than do atleast 20 weeks and start at around 1.5 or 2 ius like ODB said. HGH is totally apart from all the other stuff so basically u could run a 10 week cycle of 500 mg test during the 20 weeks of hgh now that would be awesome. anavar alone does not sound very good, but one concern is at 135 lbs u dont sound like ur diet is in check unless u started even smaller like 120 lbs and got to 135lbs in less than a year, basically if ur kinda stuck at that weight roids arent for u atleast not yet u need that diet in check sounds like u have a fast metabolism so u should try eating like 2 grams of protien per pound of weight split it into atleast 5 meals a day make sure ur breakfast and post workout meals are hefty meals u cant slack there. when on cycle u will require even more food if u dont have protien supplements yet u should get some to assist u in getting enough calories in u should probably get one thats pure whey isolate or something and also get a good mass gainer i know of some places to get some good ones pretty cheap so let me know if u need some

        I don't know how old you are, but when I was younger I was the same way. I was 5'9" and 135lbs. and a hard gainer, so I thought. There's someone here on the forum that has a signature that says "muscles are made in the kitchen not in the gym" I believe this is what it says. As I learned more about diet and lifting I came to realize that this is true. I started eating 5 to 7 times a day and was able to put the weight on in know time, this was without gear. It was very hard for me to eat, I would look at my sandwich and almost throw up at the thought of having to take another bit. So get your diet on track and I'm pretty sure you'll be quite surprised with what you'll see happen, without gear!!!

            My first cycle was Anavar and all it did was "cut" me up and actually made me lose weight. Plus its one of the most expensive products you can buy. And like the other guys have said its all about diet! There are some great posts on diet here - read those. Also, unless you are over 25 I would strongly suggest you wait on AAS. When you are ready Test is what you need to start with. Welcome and read up brother.

              Thanks a lot for your replies and welcomes.

              I eat very healthy and 5x a day. Also, I drink protein shakes 3x in between meals each containing 32g which comes out to 96g of extra protein a day. May was a year that I started these eating habits.
              In the past 2 years I used NO-Xplode before workouts, which always messed with my stomach. I now use Jack 3D - 1 scoop on off days and 3 on my workout days.

              I am cut and define super easy. I've been told numerous times on forums that at my age (30) I should just continue to eat more. I feel full always. I haven't felt hunger in years.
              I can't possibly eat anymore in the day.

              Why I can't gain muscle is a total mystery. I am the healthiest person I know. I have had blood work done and thyroid tests and even been told by my doctor "You should be happy you can't gain weight." Not funny to me at all.
              I even had a trainer for about 8 months a few years ago that tracked what I ate everyday. He couldn't believe I wasn't bigger.

              I really do appreciate the advice though. But I am pretty dead set on trying a cycle or two. If anything, the cost is what's going to keep me from running anything.

                JJ if I were you I would go and get my blood work done to see what your levels are before you ever go on anything. That way once you have finished your cycle and PCT and get your blood work done again you know what your levels should be. Also I agree with sixteentons. You should start out with Test, I prefer Cyp, and you will see some great gains from that I assure you. You need to keep something like Arimadex on hand in case you start to experience some gyno. Always make sure that you have everything you need for your cycle and your PCT before you ever stick yourself for the first time. If you like this cycle and want to do another later on add one thing at a time that way if you have some side effects that are bad you know what it is or if your post cycle blood work is messed up you know what most likely caused it.                   Thanks BACK.

                  What test would be recommended for someone like myself who's goal is not to be at body builder status but to gain about 15 lbs? I was thinking Anavar because of it's half life and least amount of side effects. But then again, I want to see results sooner than later. I know impatience isn't the greatest quality to have but I want this 'all' yesterday.

                  I am not just looking for orals. I just don't want to inject everyday, aside from gh if that comes into play.

                  Any recommends on a starter test?

                  I'm researching cyp as well BACK.

                      yeah man also every meal has to be tailored towards lots of good calories without just being something like mcdonalds every day and keep in mind alot of doctors and people that think they are experts and charge u for services alot of times wont really know how much calories it can really take i did the same as mrbig and maybe 7 months i was up close to 20 pounds of pure muscle thats most probably even more than u will be able to hold onto from a test cycle yeah it will take slightly more time but once u get this down u will be able to do even better on the roids
                      but hey thats just what i think and i'm a idiot so don't listen to me

                        I force feed and never fast food. I eat Subway occasionally but that's about as fast food as I get. I haven't been into a McDonald's or Burger King etc. in years. The smell grosses me out. And besides what we know about the calories of these restaurants, why in the hell would people think that a full meal you can buy for $2 is good for you? Yuk.

                          Good to hear your big on diet. I am interested to know how many calories you take in per day and how many carbs? You should be around 3500 to 4000 cals per day and 400 to 450 grams of carbs. I know - "carbs are bad" right? Wrong! Carbs (good carbs) are almost as important as protein when it comes to gaining size and muscle. If you are taking in the above amounts then I don't have any answers for you brother - other than consult a Dr.

                            You don't have to inject everyday. you inject test cyp twice a wk. That will get you what you want but you have to be ready to EAT then 2 hrs later EAT then 2 hrs later EAT then workout then come home and EAT and drink a shake and EAT. Do you get what MRBIG is saying you have to eat 4 5 6000 clean calories a day. It's definitely not a eat when your hungry. Hell I haven't been hungry in a long time. But eat CLEAN.
