Epic Games has officially announced the conclusion of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 and the launch of Remix Chapter 2, kicking off with an exciting live event titled Remix: The Prelude. Following the overwhelming success of Fortnite OG last year, Epic is bringing back a classic map for the new season, allowing players to return to the Chapter 2 island. However, fans can look forward to another massive live event taking place on November 1.
Fortnite OG was a limited-time season lasting just one month, designed to evoke nostalgia by reintroducing the game's original map, Chapter 1's weapons, items, vehicles, and more. This special event set a record for player engagement, attracting over 44.7 million players and accumulating 102 million hours played in just one day. Since then, fans have been urging Epic to launch Fortnite OG as a separate playlist, but the studio has chosen to elevate the experience with the upcoming Remix Chapter 2 this weekend.

After teasing the new season over the weekend, Epic Games has confirmed the timing of the next live event. With Remix Chapter 2 expected to debut on Saturday, November 2, the live event will occur the day before, on Friday, November 1. In a tweet from the official Fortnite account, the studio revealed that Remix: The Prelude will take place on November 1 at 3:30 PM PT / 6:30 PM ET / 10:30 PM GMT.
Details regarding the event and the new season remain limited, but players can expect a return to the Chapter 2 island with this upcoming content update. Some fans expressed concerns after a teaser trailer appeared to show content from the current Chapter 5 map, but Epic quickly reassured the community that the new season would feature the beloved map "with splashes of content from earliest seasons."
While Epic has not specified which seasons will be part of Remix Chapter 2, reliable leakers and data miners have provided a tentative release schedule for the update.
