Ok pinning in the quad, why is it sometimes it causes bruising at the injection site and other times it doesn't?? Am I doing something wrong when it bruises?

Yeah, are you aspirating each time? you may be hitting a blood vessel.

You probably passed thru a vein or blood vessel

It can be high BA content

What are you injecting?

What size needle? Make sure you are going deep enough

i always aspirate but never once had blood enter.. only time i could see a bruise come is if u massage too hard .. i mean it shouldnt be a big deal quads and glutes are my main go.. onyl prop gives me pain

yea it isn't a big bruise and it doesn't hurt. I was just wondering why it happens sometimes and sometimes not

oh cant bruising also be blood coming to the surface? maybe someone said it, hit a vein on way out. i know now and then i get a suck ass nurse that would draw blood and not put any pressure on where she pinned and some blood pools there and would get black and blue. so from now on i apply pressure for a bit.

i got some quad stiffness from pin I did monday. nothing bad and started wed, but not day after. Pinned other quad today and left needle in a bit longer, injected slower, kept pressure longer and massaged a bit more. will see if it helps.

You passed through a blood vessel. As long as you aspirate and do not get blood, then you are GTG. Make sure you maintain the depth of the needle during injection. If the needle retracts and you have passed through a vessel, then you may end up pushing the oil into the vessel. If you push the oil into a vein, you risk destroying the tissue at the base of the capillaries. The oil may prevent oxygen from reaching some tissue thus causing necrosis.

You most likely knicked a vein when you bruised up bro.
