Pinning?

OK did my 10th pin today in my quad, but when I pulled out the needle way more blood came out then normal. I pulled back on the plunger when I got it in to make sure it wasn't hitting a vein and everything was gtg.. So is the more blood fine? is everything good?

some times if you get a little rubbing alcohol in their its bleed more or you could have hit a blood vessel...as long as it isnt squirting with your pulse you will be ok..just apply light pressure and wait til the bleeding subsides

ahh the rubbing alcohol is probably it the area was still very wet with the alcohol. Yea no it was only a little drip when I pulled the needle out stopped on its own like 10 secs later

That nothing brother, sometime it's wort than that. Apply the pressure until it stops and it will eventually stop, your gtg.

Yeah, no worries... just keep in mind that getting to the muscle tissue, it is always possible that you poked 'through' a vein on the surface to get to the muscle.
So while you're withdrawing the needle, the surface vein you punctured, will leak through the hole and...psych you out. lol.
If that happens, just put pressure on it for a few minutes to avoid visible bruising from the leakage/next day.

there is a lot of small vessels and you may clip one as you went in

you didnt aspirate anything because you pushed past where the vessel was and then when you pulled out it let some blood flow
