I highly doubt I underestimate anyone. On the contrary I give too much credit to people and they don't deserve it. The MEN you are referring to are the minority. I understand you'd use lethal force would your life or someone else's life would be in danger and that's something everyone should do if non-lethal isn't an option. But as far as killing somebody who's just trying to kidnap a dog, or steal jewelry... come on... exposing such things to your family is .. not something one should do. Plus as I said before, it's easy to now visualize yourself killing somebody, but actually killing, ending the life of an individual who is in front of you, is something else. especially if you don't kill them first hand, what if you wound the person, hear them screaming and begging for their lives, blood spitting out, organs coming out? what then? you'll look them deep in the eyes and pull the trigger again, and just be like.. oh well no big deal? Even if it was to protect your family, you'll NEVER, I mean it, NEVER feel fine about it.

Amen xamo. I remember a time when I thought I was a real killer. Just out of basic and ready to kick some ass. But experiences like the "Highway of Death" in Iraq (I saw it after the fact, but firsthand, not the sanitized version on CNN) made me rethink everything I thought would be so easy to do. It didn't turn me into a pussy, but it did make me appreciate the underlying moral struggle all sane warriors go through. Anyone who thinks that they can duplicate their deeds playing "Call of Duty" in real life is sadly mistaken.
