I been hittin the pure stuff between sets. It seems to help with recovery and stamina. I been duing this for about a month and so I am relatively new at it but I am going to stick with it and see how it goes... After a set I head over and start out with deep drawn cleansing breaths and then return breathing to normal I been timing it at about 45 sec. to cleanse and a minute or little less of normal breathing. Then back to the plates... It does feel good,

I can get a 250 cubic foot tank for $18.00 exchanged. This is standard O2 but there is no real difference in medical grade. I don't mind hitting straight from the tank but I am going to make a two stage filter, first one being paper ans a second one being a bong sort of apparatus to draw the O2 through water as a filter... a tank this size last approximately three to four weeks currently (a good return on investment I think)

I'm certified to administer O2, the thing with welding O2 is that the tanks are not bled down to empty, to remove all or any other gases that may have bled back into the O2 tank. If a tank of O2 has been used with argon, you could have some argon in that O2 tank. Argon is very deadly 1-2 breaths of it, your dead!!!
That's why we have medical grade O2
I use to own a scuba shop and our air filters cost 100's of dollars. I had two, both 36 inches tall just to filter ambient air for breathing!!!Last edited by MrBig; 10-19-2013, 05:58 PM.The Rules At Juiced Muscle (everyone please read)

I hear ya Mr.Big,, You might be thinking of Acetylene being toxic, argon isn't known to be toxic but it is a heavy gas and it will settle in the bottom of your lungs and could eventually cause suffocation, I use it to weld alumn. and it will after a full day welding cause you to feel short of breath. but even in the gas industry (you are right they could have a foreign gas but for the most part you don't mix gases as there could be adverse effects to the equipment and valves it being used on plus you would have a odor and a taste. I know all about scuba and the filter system to get clean air. I worked with dive shops and been diving for about 24yrs.. I use to repack the filters and maintenance the compressor...Your right some high dollar gear there. But scuba air has to be clean of other gases as you know they have adverse effects multiplied at depth...Man I would never tell anyone to pull some of the stunts I have, But a poor man has poor ways sometimes. I wish I could afford med grade...

I dont get it, you breathe pure O² from a tank? Can you explain me why in the long term? I can understand that it helps in the moment of training.
But you train to strengthen your respiration also. Seems to be the opposite thing to high elevation training? So in the end youll be faster exhausted because your body accustomed to the exogen O², wont you?

I gotta tell ya the first time I ever heard about O2 supp. was from Arny... I have done some research on it and it seems that our red blood cells are responsible for the transport and they do a pretty good job upwards of about 95% but with the O2 at hand it will cause the plasma to carry O2 also and this offers a opportunity for cell to take up even more. other studies have shown,An increased supply of oxygen speeds up your body's metabolic engine, burning more calories and stimulating fat loss. Finally, the improved circulation from increased oxygen levels can produce nootropic (brain-stimulating) and anti-aging effects (through increased moisturizing of the skin). As we age our V.O2 max declines and So one day I decided I had a bottle standin there and tried it out, It has shortin my recovery time and I can do more sets. I feel it work great for the workouts, I don't use it all the time avoiding and dependency or reliance you think might occur as I save it for heavy leg days or a day I wanna tear up a muscle group. I would recommend it but a person just has to try it for themselves and see if the investment is worth the return. I still get winded and I do feel tired after working out but I don't think it is any worse than not supp'n. I would say I actually walk out on leg day rather then crawl...The risks of the use of oxygen are also often misunderstood by patients. Some patients think that if they use their oxygen for an extended period of time, their bodies will become addicted to it. Some also feel that if they only use their oxygen on a part-time basis, their bodies will eventually require its use full-time. Neither of these scenarios is true. Oxygen is completely safe to use under a doctor's supervision for any period of time at any rate of use without the risk of addiction or increased use.
