  • bodyfat calculator results

Well after the past year of doing right and only eating what I needed,I figured what the hell? Might as well see. Took some measurements and started hitting Google. After running the numbers thru 4 different calculators,my bodyfat is anything from 18-20%. Figuring that I rounds up for most my measurements,I'm probably leaner than that.but I figured I'd rather have a high size number rather than lie and have an artificial lower %.
Figuring I've lost roughly 3 pant sizes( from a 40 to a snug 34.I just wear 36's),I guess I'm doing good.
I was that kinda fat that you can feel your back fat touch your love handles when you walked. I will NEVER get to that size again. After I quit going to the gym after our move from SC to TX,I started double fisting doughnuts and candy bars and just about everything I shouldnt have eaten. I had gone for a good number of years without so much as drinking a soda.most sugar I'd even take in was a Gatorade while I worked out. I guess I had just gone so long without foods like that and not having a reason to stay eating right...just started pigging out. Takes a hell of a lot longer to get rid of it than it does to gain it.lol so, on to some bad news.
I went to the E.R. a couple of nights ago with shoulder pains. My colar bone has been popping on either. End. But for five days the pain kept getting worse.the night I went in,it was so bad I couldn't hardly move it. After a couple hours and some x-ray's....the doc comes in and says "welcome to getting old.you have arthritis in your colar bone." .....well SOB. In 23 and already old.lol

HA!!! It's going to get worse bro. The aches and pains are just a simple fact of growing older. A lot of it can be directly attributed to the shape you keep yourself in, so stay fit now, and it will be much easier to maintain as you get older. As far as body fat calculators, take any results you get with a grain of salt. I know I speak for many of the bros here that if we followed the most widely accepted body mass/fat indexes based on height and weight, we'd be labeled as obese. The only true test of body fat is the hydrostatic method, which is not readily available to most of us. Just go by how you feel and look, you'll be much happier.
