This question goes out to my IT savvy bros. About 4 months ago I began to notice an influx of spam. (Junk email, not the canned meat product.) I've had this email for almost 10 years without any problems, and I am religious about not giving my email to anyone even remotely questionable, so I have no idea where they got my address. Furthermore, most of these messages are marked as having been sent from my email address, so I can't even block them. Any ideas as to where they might be coming from, or how to stop them? It really wouldn't be a big deal, but I frequently get emails from new business associates, so I have to review my junk mail folder before I empty it. It's starting to piss me off. I've had several people tell me that I'm screwed, and the only way to stop it is to change my email address. Is this true? Thanks for any help bros.

Someone pirated your email. I tried blocking the address, but bhow can you block your pown address. I find this happens when you join a "trusting" social site like twitter. I actually got embarrassed and had people I dont even like anymore ask me to take them off my list. I dont have a list! So I changed my email address, and told all the other people I think I got a virus on my computer(possible) and the ones I still like I gav ethem my new address. The rest I emailed back to try to block me. Good luck. -(

I reset my password every month to avoid problems like this. Yet the spam keeps coming. I guess I'll have to change addresses. Huge pain in the ass.
