  • Deep Tissue Massage

So, I've been getting deep tissue massages every other weeks for the past couple of months. I am extremely surprised at how much it has helped get rid of random pains that I thought I would just have to live with as part of lifting heavy lol. I recommend that if you guys have never had one, go do a heavy back day, and get a deep tissue massage the next day. You'll be amazed!

A massage can also aids in muscle recovery, and reduce tension. There is much to be said for a relaxing rub down from a friend or loved one but there are also a number of professional massage techniques which may particularly help your back. These includes neuromuscular therapy , a technique which focuses on areas of muscle spasm or the trigger points.

I also get one once a month. It's called a firmer. It's a type of deep tissue massage that lasts about 2.5 hours. Some parts of the massage are so painful I almost scream, but the way my body feels afterward is unmatched. I would recommend any active person to get one at least once a month.

FYI i live in the states and if you have health insurance then all you need to find is a place that does physical therapy and has licensed massage therapist and a chiropractor. They are known as sports rehab centers. I go once a week and get a deep tissue accupuncture and a chiro adjustment for free, my insurance pay it all the doctor doesn't even take a copay.
