  • Why do you want to get bigger

It is funny I finally crossed the line and did my first cycle Years ago because was tired of working so hard and not getting bigger but I was lean and cut now I am a beast but my wife says I look like a gorilla and when I see people on the street they look at me like they are scared I also do not compete in any sport I have an office job, but I still want to get bigger and when people look at me like I'm a freak I like it. So for those of you like me what is your motivation to get bigger?

Exactly what you said the looks. Its not that were freaks, its that were huge. makes me feel as though its all worth it.

I want the satisfaction of knowing that when i walk in to a room, I am the biggest person there lol. Still have a lot of work to go before I get to that level :P But it's a good motivator.

I think if you think you look good it makes you feel good. It is a self esteem thing I guess. I want to look and feel good, hell and it's a healthy way of getting a "High"

In my circle of friends I AM the biggest person in the room. I just went to our annual cookout and hillbilly olympics yes we really do this and people I have seen on and off all summer couldn't believe how much bigger I was. I had one kid say dude you look like you put on 15lbs every time I see you the first thing out of half of party was have you been lifting? lol. Currently running test e 600mg per week 15 weeks eq 700mgs per week 14 weeks anavar and anadrol and I feel like I can pick up cars and throw them at people I don't like. I love being told at the flip cup table by girls "gently flip the cup don't DESTROY it" lol It's a great feeling to know that you can pick up anyone in the room and throw them a few yards. Nobody messes with you I went to visit my brothers college campus for his birthday Friday his friends were scared to death of me I was asked by a cheerleader if I would consider coming to the school next year because they will need male cheerleaders to lift and slightly toss the girls.....and half of those girls don't wear underwear lol. My brother always tells me stories of this person and that person getting mugged at knife or gun point or just plane getting jumped. No one wanted to come near me everyone that does asks me if I play football it's a cool feeling of just having that kind of power and influence over everyone. I'm currently on chemo and I get hit on by nurses age ranging 20-45 years old (I'm 26) lol. and as 1TUFFCOOKIE stated above me that feeling IS A HIGH I even had a female campus cop hit on me while on duty. It was an amazing weekend of girls "accidentally bumping into me" lol.

To me it makes it all worth it when people say wow you look solid. And also when walking with my girlfriend and girls walk into her starring at me. Makes all the hard work and pain worth every minute fellas

I love going to the gym. I like the transformation + I like finding weak areas + building them up.
I love feeling sore + seeing the muscles grow.

I am actually not a huge fan of the way people look at me + act afraid. (I must admit also I'm 6'2" 270lb w goatee and people always asked me if I am a Cop/Fed or a hitman?? - so its not just the Weights - I guess I just look mean.)

this is a really great thread.

i dont even know where to start...i sometimes like the way people look at me. sometimes i dont. sometimes, i've honestly felt like a circus freak. sometimes people have assumed stereotypes like that i must like fighting or be dumb. those are extreme examples though. i was a grown man weighing 130 lbs when i began working out, so i have seen a very real perception change in the way people treat me. most of the time, its a pretty positive experience. i'd be foolish to tell myself that i dont like the attention i get for being big. it is addictive. lets take an extreme example...you could walk into a restaurant where a famous celebrity was eating. if you are 280 lbs at say 5 10', you can be a nobody and still get just as much attention as the celebrity. everyone wants to feel special.

these are not the core reasons i do it though. i love the structure. i love the challenge. i love bodybuilding's honesty. although the sport is a game of illusion, it is only through hard work and suffering that you can reach your goals. the harder you work, the further you can go. thats just so simple and beautiful to me.

My father was a Navy SEAL from '65 - '80. He told me that the day other men don't consider him dangerous is the day he takes up golf and moves into a senior citizens community.

I guess it all starter in my childhood. I used to be the obese one everyone would pick on (yeah I know how cliché)... at 16 I told myself I was tired of taking it all on me and started to change my ways so that I would basically prove them all wrong. Turns out that today I'm still the heaviest one but not in fat anymore. I out weight them all by a good 40lbs and can lift a lot more as well as being a lot more athletic.

My reason was simply to show everyone that one shouldn't judge a book by its cover.. nowadays it's more of a lifestyle than anything else though I still have that pride inside of me.
