i know this is a played out thread idea that you've seen on 100 other boards, but i havent seen it here...at least not that i can remember...

when you're training, what do you like to listen to?

i've always been a fan of old metallica, pantera, hatebreed, especially on legs and back days but in the last year or so, i've also gotten more into electronic music like carl cox. i like live sets that have no stopping points between tracks. just this continual, morphing beat-driven sound. it really takes me to a different level when i get tuned into this stuff. throw in a little preworkout stim like jack3d and i can train all day

so what do you guys listen to?

Pretty much what you listed except Im more of a grunge guy so throw in some Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam as well.. But when I'm really looking to push the limits and get amped then it's straight to Taylor Swift!!

i used to mountain bike a lot at the time that pearl jam ten came out. i used to listen to that on my walkman while cutting through the trails. not sure i could listen to nirvana or AIC while training. they're so dark. i like something that lifts me up and makes me wanna move. a lot of AIC especially makes me feel...down in a hole

Well, I don't know how you guys do it. I mean cardio yeah but serious training I need to completely focus on the set. I've tried it but I don't feel I'm giving it my all if I'm jamming to some tune in my head when I should be concentrating on nothing but going to the max. Anyway if it works for you all GREAT!!!

Dubstep always gets me going lol Zomboy, Delta Heavy, Knife Party just to name a few :P I usually just let Pandora play a random Dubstep station and that usually gets the job done for me.

Metallica and the sorts while lifting... However embarrassingly enough when doing cardio dubstep tracks have been the music of choice lately
