Ok then lets just ask the one question. How many guys wear belts when lifting? Why do you or why don't you?

(Feel to have your local Doctor look at it.)
    1-Deep Tissue Massage might help
    2-Try Icy Hot
    3-Impostants stretch before workout
4-I prefer Ibuprofen before bed time (Please we do not discuss any Pain Meds in this board) this thread will be taking down,,,,

for example i hurt my back last summer power cleaning (it was dumb i was using 225 with regular plates and so i couldnt slam them. so i would have to catch it then lower the bar back down to the floor and on like rep three of set three i rounded my back and bam. i finished my last rep and then set after tho ) so yesterday i was repping 295 squatting and i was struggling a little (used to be nothing for me) then iwent to 315 and put on a belt...it was so much easier. i could go deeper and felt less strain on my back

All powerlifters do, when you hurt your back (not using a belt) you are unable to work-out for weeks.
secondly it allows you to use heavier weights thus more results..

Is there a certain point when you need to start using the belt, or should everyone use a belt?

Sounds good. I know it's been said a belt doesn't allow your lower back to get as strong as it would without the belt which may hurt in the long run. Then again a hurt back sucks big time.

I stopped using a belt. Just got lazy. Was wondering if I should start again. It's 50/50 in my gym guys that do and don't.

I stopped using a belt too. I feel like my lower back is much stronger now than when I was using a belt. I also dont try to lift the gym anymore either. LOL. I increase my weight (Deads and Squats) as my back and legs can handle it without sacraficing good form. I dont really worry about numbers but the "feel" of the weight. I jacked my back about 10 years ago deading 400+ with a belt. I can rep that now easy without a belt and good form and it feels much better.
