    whats up guys,

some of you may have noticed, i've been a little more quite on the board over the last several days. i've still been around every day, but mostly have just been focusing on behind the scenes stuff and PMs. things are coming together fast now for my upcoming contest. right now, i'm only a few days out. i have work scheduled off till a couple days after the show. i did my last leg training day on sunday. yesterday, today and tomorrow, i'm doing full upper body depletion workouts, using mostly cables. the idea is to deplete the glycogen out of the muscles so that when it comes time to carb up on thursday, the muscle will be like dry sponges, sucking in all the carbs and remaining water.

i'll post up some new pics, as i get dialed in.

this prep hasnt been all sunshine though. i've gotten sick 3 times now. i discovered that dieting in the winter sucks!! most recently, i got an upper respiratory infection. totally took the life out of me. still, i didnt miss work and i didnt miss the gym. i ate my meals, as hard as it was to stay on diet food when i didnt feel well. i'm just coming out of it now. my training coach texted dave palumbo, who had some good advice for me. i took an antibiotic for several days and came off of it as if yesterday. hopefully, that was enough and i dont have a relapse. sometimes, antibiotics can make it hard to drop water, so i wanted that out of my system as soon as possible.

if you guys have any questions along the way here, as things come together, feel free to post them up here and i'll try to help you understand what i'm doing and why i'm doing it.

Way to go baby! The recognition for your accomplishments are overdue. I'm sure a little extra cash won't hurt your feelings any. I know you've worked your ass off for this, so enjoy the props, bro.. Oh yeah, keep that blood sugar up, and don't pass out at the meeting! I'm pretty sure they would frown on that.

thanks guys. so it looks like i'm heading in for a meeting this afternoon with my new sponsor. we came to an agreement and i'll be visiting them today to finalize things. kinda nervous. i dont have all my whits about me right now, seeing that the carb intake has been lower than usual and i feel/look small, being that i'm in the 3rd day of depletion. plus with the added water intake, i look a little sloppy. really, this is all in my head. i know it'll go fine...i just want to put forward 100% because this is important to me. i'm sure you guys understand where i'm coming from.

i started the boring task of shaving some areas that i usually avoid. forearms for one. my forearms are really weird. if i use a razor, i get tons of ingrown hairs. best bet for me is to use clippers on them, so that there is still a tiny bit of hair poking out of the skin. for chest, legs and back, i use a razor and am fine. i usually always keep my chest, legs and back shaved down. i used to break out yrs ago whenever i'd shave my chest. i've since got conditioned to it. chemical hair removal makes me break out, so i avoid that and i'm scared to try wax! right now, i'm letting the chest go for a few days, so that i can whack as much hair as possible tomorrow night before applying my contest tan. i try to avoid shaving after thursday night. at that point, we'll put the first coat of tanner on and i dont want to mess that up. also, i want to give my skin a chance to calm back down in case i get razor burn or nick myself. dont wanna go on stage looking like a self mutilator
i've never tanned well naturally. this year, i discovered melanotan 2, which has really made my life easier. i'm naturally super fare and turn red vs brown. after loading up on M2 for a couple wks, i found that i only need to tan once a wk and take about .5mg M2 every 7-10 days. lately, i've used it even less.

lets see...other important points to cover the week of a show....haircut. i got a fresh hair cut yesterday. you want to look as clean and fresh as possible. a good hair cut will help your overall appearance.

heres a very quick shot i snapped in the mirror while i was working on the forearms. flat and watery right now...but right where i'm supposed to be. we are closing in quickly now...

Wow! Lean and vascular. If this is what you call fat and watery, I must be morbidly obese! Looking fantastic man. You're an inspiration to us all.

cooking my first low sodium meal............now. no more added sodium until after the show. without dropping water, this in itself should make a difference by tomorrow morning in how tight i am.

i got my first coat of tan on. i'm using liquid sun rayz this year. i've always used protan. one coat and i'm freakin' dark already!!
