NEW YORK ? Two minor league free agent pitchers have been suspended for 50 games each after testing positive for steroids.

The commissioner?s office said Friday that Alejandro Arteaga tested positive for Nandrolone and Stanozolol, and Hugo Garcia tested positive for Boldenone.

The suspensions will become effective immediately if either player signs with a major league team.
