  • WWE?s Sin Cara Denies That He Used Steroids, Argued Its False Positive

Professional wrestler Sin Cara was suspended by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for violating their Talent Wellness Program. Sin Cara failed a steroid test in June but the suspension only came this week. Many were asking why it took more than three weeks for the WWE to impose the sanction. Sports writers covering WWE have already found the answer. Sin Cara tested positive for anabolic steroids but told the anti-doping officials that he had a prescription for it.

Sin Cara Argued He Did Not Used Steroids

It is already anticipated that Sin Cara will defend himself from this issue. After the news came out that he tested positive for steroids, the wrestler said in an interview that he did not used steroids. The wrestler argued that it could be a false positive because of the medication injected on his injured knee.

He was quoted by Wrestling 101 saying; ?What happened is that I had a pain?.I injected something into my body, that?s why I came out positive, but they don?t know what it is. They might be steroids, but most medical stuff has steroids.?

Delayed Suspension Allowed Sin Cara to Explain

According to WWE insiders, the delayed suspension was due to the request of Sin Cara that he can prove he has valid prescription for the injections. It turned out that the wrestler failed or did not show any proof to WWE officials any valid prescription.

Another angle in the story of Sin Cara is that the kind of steroid found in his system is different from the steroid found in the injection. Since he is complaining about the pain on his knee, it is most likely that he was injected with corticosteroids. This is another type of steroid used to treat inflammation and pain. But the 30 days suspension is likely caused by anabolic steroids.

Too Small to be Using Steroids

Sin Cara also told the Record, a Mexican newspaper, that his body is too small for a typical steroid user. However, this contention is not credible. According to David Bixenspan of Cageside Seats, different steroids do different things to users. ?They have different results in different people depending on their genetics, diet and exercise habits, etc.?

He also added that some of these steroids help build muscles while other are used to burn fats. There are already many cases of professional athletes caught positive for anabolic steroids but they do not have bulging muscles and big physique.

Status in WWE is Still Uncertain

Sin Cara was reported by the WWE suffering from a fractured rib. But most people see this as way to get him off from TV shows while the wrestler endures his 30 days suspension. He will also miss the Summer Slam. Insiders also predict that Sin Cara will be released soon from the WWE. The revelation of his real name is an indication that the WWE is not happy with his performance.
