  • Purple light issues on Linksys Velops

Some customers may encounter a weird purple light problem when Fixinh up their Linksys Velop setup. The Velop node shows purple light for any data connection problem. This annoying problem has some possible causes and fixes: Disconnect and remove the Ethernet cable between the modem and the main Velop node. Thus, if the loose or faulty connection is what is causing the purple light, try to test your internet and ensure that your modem is still operational and that your internet service is active. This is when you need to try power cycling your modem along with the Velop nodes, when everything seems perfect in regards to physical connections. Unplug and turn off your devices for a moment, then plug into the power source back. A temporary problem in the network usually gets solved using this method. Reset your Velop nodes to factory settings next on the list of troubleshooting. Using a pin or paperclip, press and hold the reset button on each node for a period of about 10 seconds. You will be able to set up the nodes again, as this returns them to their original configuration.
