  • How Do You Find Time for Workouts with a Busy Schedule?

I totally get how hard it is to find time and motivation for working out when life is so busy. I run a website where I create educational resources like coloring pages and worksheets for kids (RodzicielskieInspiracje.PL), and on top of that, I also work full-time. It’s tough to balance everything, but I’ve realized that making time for exercise is super important.

What’s helped me is changing the way I think about it. Instead of seeing exercise as something extra, I treat it like a must-do, just like work or any other task. Even short workouts can make a difference, so I don't stress about fitting in long sessions. Sometimes I only have 15-20 minutes, but I make the most of it—whether it's a quick home workout, a run, or even some stretches.

I also try to multitask when I can. For example, while my kids are busy with the coloring pages or worksheets I create, I’ll squeeze in a quick workout nearby. It’s not always ideal, but it works when time is tight!

Another thing that helps is actually putting workouts on my schedule, like any other meeting or appointment. If it’s on the calendar, it’s way more likely to happen. Even breaking it up into small, manageable chunks throughout the day works.

Anyone else doing something similar? How do you manage to find time for workouts with a busy schedule?

There are plenty of apps and online resources that offer quick workouts. You can find sessions that fit into your available time, whether it’s 10 minutes or io games. Life can be unpredictable, so be open to adjusting your workout plans. If you miss a session, don’t be hard on yourself—just get back to it when you can.

To find time for workouts with a busy schedule, the key is to prioritize exercise by treating it as a non-negotiable task, just like work or meetings. Opt for short, high-impact workouts when time is tight—15-20 minutes of focused exercise can still be effective. You can also multitask, like working out while your kids are engaged with activities. Scheduling workouts in your calendar ensures consistency, and breaking exercise into small, manageable chunks throughout the day helps make it more achievable.
