you car looks good buddie. did you ever take it to the track?

yeah, im getting ready to do another build. lookin to make upwards of 600hp and get 27mpg.

the same block but im gonna stroke it to a 383. its either gonna have a turbo, or a supercharger.

heres the build plan ive settled on.

    Scat forged steel crank
4340 forged steel rods with apr 2000 cap screws and floating pins
Keith Black Icon forged pistons (8.5:1)
AFR 190 heads with 64cc cambers 2.02/1.60 valves
    Compcams 288XR roller cam
    750CFM holley
    victor jr. single plane intake
    msd ignition
    Vortech V3-J supercharger @5PSI
    646HP@6500rpms/565ft.lbs@5000rpms

700R4 tanny built for 900HP(super deep 1st gear + over drive..best of both worlds.)
    Trans-Go shift-kit
    3000-3500 stall+lockup
    8.8 rear with 3.73:1 gears
and i might just start shaving weight from the thing. but,who knows. im doin great so far with no weight reductions.

or the other build plan is just about the same except with a t51@10 psi and it would make 750hp+

looks pretty good, have you ever considered moving to a lsx motor? they have some nice single plane/carb swap for them. you can find a lq4 374 ci iron block aluminum head motor for around $1000. they make 370 hp stock, stick a twin screw at 5 psi on it and your looking at 550hp. thats a smooth idling, fuel efficient, modern day motor thatll last 100k miles no prob. also the lq4 is 9:1 stock, so you could run more than 5 psi, i assume around 10 psi itll make 700 easy. i had a friend with a 02 camaro ss, he left the motor stock and put in some injectors and a vortech with a fmic at 9 psi. it made 505 at the wheels thru the stock automatic trans, and never even had the valve covers off

yeah, ive been thinking about the LS swap. if i did it, i wouldnt go anything less than the LQ4 6.0, you were talkin about. i would deffinatly go carbed.if i loose my mind, ill stay with F.I.
those LS engines make crazy power with little of nothing done to them.lol

i probably will go that route, tho. if i did ,id keep the trans and all the same. but, id probably fully build the thing.
