        The Camaro's....Hands Down. Im an old school muscle car guy.I never understood how we went from the roar of a big block to the whine of a honda,or toy and subaru,etc.

        I had this kid who used to work for me that used to build and race all wheel drive eagle talons.Biggest pieces of shit in my opinion,but they would run 10seconds.Thats for as long as they lasted anyway.He was consatantly blowing up the motor or trans or rear.LMAO.Anyway,he would brag about how this turd would beat a lot of the older muscle cars at the track.I would laugh and say "Who gives a shit Dude ,it's still an eagle talon"

        I asked him if you pulled up in that piece of shit and I pulled up in my 72 Nova big block who do you think would draw the largest croud?

            Eagle talon holy shit i cant believe you mentioned that car....i used to own a thunderbird super coupe with the supercharger and I got smoked by some guy driving one of those....i was doin 125mph and he passed me like i was parked

              lol@the eagle talon. i used to have an 11 sec fox body, and i street raced it for years. the worst ass whooping i EVER got in all that time was a talon. same as limo, shit made me look like i was sitting still. they are pieces of shit, but spending alot of time street racing u learn its all about bang for the buck. we all want the chevelle or whatever to bring the crowd out, but in the big scheme of things, its who can go the fastest for the least amount of money

                      Im with ya them being able to be fast,and like I said,his was.But as far as the best bang for the buck,these things go through motors and trans like shit thru a goose.Let me tell you,its no fun replacing the trans on this thing.LOL.He would say the same thing about not having the money for a "REAL" car and I would tell to him stop throwing his money away on motor's trans & rears and save ot for that "REAL" car.I told him we'll get one and build it up ourselves.But he was having too much fun racing around the streets with 16yr olds in those things.LMFAO.

                        here is a video of my truck. the idle sounded a lot more evil after i got the carb tuned right,the timing set right, and the idle set about 850-900rpms. right there, i had just gotten done breaking the cam in. about half way thru the video,it sounds closer to what it sounded like. it talked mad shit after i got it right.




                        the specs on the truck are as follows

                        1972 350 2 bolt main block with apr main bolts (bored .030 over to a 355)
                        Scat cast steel crank 3.48" stroke
                        4340 forged steel scat I-beams with arp cap screws
                        Speed-Pro hyper pisons with 10.2:1 compression
                        Lunati Bracket master-2 cam (.515/.515 lift and 300?/300? advertised duartion and 245?/245? duration @.050)
                        1964 461 Corvette double hump heads with a shit ton of port work
                        weind single plane intake
                        750 vac.secondary carb
                        msd HEI ignition with the box and external coil

                        TH350 built for 700hp
                        3000 stall converter
                        Trans-Go shift kit(shifts stupid hard)

                        ford exploder rear end with posi and 4.11:1 rear gears
                        cal-trac's
                        10" wide meats

                        2800lbs with me in it. street driven daily.

                          whats so bang for the buck about these lil shit box's? i dont get it. gotta be 7-10K in the engine alone in most of those damned things,before they can even run fast. the best bang for the buck will always be a v8. more HP/per $ no matter how you split it and they last longer at the higher power levels than the 4-cyl engines. i mean,i have all of 4K in my truck for everything..and that includes buying the truck.i out run turbo civic's,turbo eclipse's,i have out run a couple of evo's,and 2 turbo supra's. thast just the rice.
                          well, the supra will be excluded from the rice section...cuz i kinda like them. but still.
                          now dont get me wrong,they made ok power....but they would always get mad when i told them the small amount i put in my build vs their 15K in their crap...and they still got beat.

                              i end up pullin the stock motor and f.i. out of my mustang. it ended up carbed and sounded alot like your setup chevy

                              74 block bored to 308
                              scat rotating assembly, pistons came out to around 10.6:1
                              also had a lunati bracket master cam
                              afr 165 aluminum heads
                              weiand stealth intake
                              speed demon 650 carb
                              full msd ignition
                              1.6 fms rr
                              long tube ceramic headers
                              offroad h-pipe
                              canton 7 qt oil pan and windage tray
                              aeromotive fuel system with ss braided lines
                              3.73 gears
                              tremec 3550 5 spd
                              blah blah blah

                              it was a fun little car, and bc the fox bodys only came with 225 hp, everyone love to underestimate them. i pulled on corvettes, evos, got a sti pretty bad(but his buddy was the one in the talon that owned me), a tt supra with a liscence plates that said "v8haha", and even got to race a ferrari from 70-120 and pulled about 3 car lengths on him. id say i had around 8k in the car
