I heard the 50 to 60 grams but look at somes diest and a steak or chicken has way more. Is that number just whey or all protein or is it all just bull shit.

you can't really calculate it as it depends on the kind of protein. You can"'t have more than 60g in your bloodstream at once. But then 60g every 2 hours will go to waste as some proteins will remain over 2 hours so lowering your daily consumptions... but I have a saying.. better too many than not enough. Even if some go to waste.Ain't no use in lookin' down

i have read tons of different studies on this and they all seem to come to different conclusions. iv heard your body can only digest 25-30g at a time and yet read studies that say that over time you can digest more. i personally dont like to get more than 50-60g in a shake as it makes me feel bloatedSatisfaction Is the Death of Desire

i find .75-1g of protein per lb of body wt works best for me with me consuming about 60% of it pre and post workout. iv long been suspicious of studies on a "need" for so much protein esp how they are always followed by an advertisement for protein shakes. remember too much of anything isn't goodSatisfaction Is the Death of Desire

A budy and I have argued about this..he claims the 30grams at a time approach, and does'nt juice.. large amounts of anabolics in the system your protein synthysis its 20 times what it would be normally...I agree having to much and not absorbing 100% is way better than being short on protein and body needing more...just my two cents..test

i did a little research on this and found that your body can digest as much protein as you can consume. the rate of absorption changes with the more you take (as in it'll take you longer to digest 100g than 20). i think this is where the myth came from. people who wanted the fasted absorption into the bloodstream were most likely told to consume a smaller amount. the only tests i could find that said the body could only digest 25-30g of protein were done on sick people and people with medical conditions.Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire
