  • Hello Everyone...Awesome Forum!!!

    Hello Everyone
Just got back from the gym..hard to type cuz everything is twitching. That's good right?
So I worked out consistantly between the ages of 24 to 30; then quit since I was working way to many hours at work (bad economy). I'm 35 now. I just got back into it six months ago.
    Stats
    6'1"
186.6lbs as of today down from 200lbs
20% body fat down from 26.2%
Always had a solid frame and am able to lose wieight and build a little muscle easily (most of my fat is carried in my belly area)...my brother who is also my workout partner hates me for it.
Anyways, i'm back to about where I was 5 years ago and now thinking about trying some gear. I've read so much on gear over the last 6 months my eyes are starting to bleed. I'm a firm believer that simple is better and am hoping to keep it that way if I can.
My goal is to be a solid 200lbs of lean muscle. Don't want to be a hulk, but do want to look better. I like the Christian Boeving look. My family has always been on the skinny side. Just to give you an example, all the men in my family have never weighed more than 128lbs when they graduated high school.
Any ideas on what might help me with my goals? Thank you so much in advance!!

Welcome to the forum brother, the first thing I would suggest is to lose 5-10% more body fat before you start. You'll see better results with less b-fat.

Thanks Big...that is actually very good advice and I am going to take it. I wanna make sure I do all this correctly...therefore I am not in a hurry to use gear. I see alot of 16 to 24 year olds at my gym who go from 140 to 200lbs in less than 4 months...especially before spring break starts. Although they do get big...I notice they don't look very healthy. i don't want to be one of those guys.
I lift 3 times a week...Mon, Wed, Sat. I think I am going to incorporate 30min of cardio in my routine on between days to help speed up my fat burning process. I eat pretty clean, and often. I seem to only be able to sleep roughly six hours a night...but I do sleep sound. I'll post my stats in a month to see if I can reach my new goal of 15% body fat. Thanks again big!!

Thats normal. I twitch alot to from Heavy Workouts and running gear. Has to do with overactive muscles and overactiver CNS. If you cant bear it take a benzo or downer sleeping pill like xanax or Valium.

Try to get more hours of DEEP sleep. Your Muscles will recover & heal faster and you'll grow faster too. DIET/SLEEP/GEAR/EXERCISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats the way to GO TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
