Arizona DPS officers find ketamine, steroids, cocaine after traffic stop in Marana
    October 30, 2015

A vehicle traveling through Marana was found to contain an assortment of dangerous drugs worth thousands of dollars, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

During a traffic stop, a drug-sniffing dog alerted troopers to 50 vials, or $5,000 worth, of ketamine, an anesthetic listed as a dangerous drug; six vials of anabolic steroids and a bottle of oral steroids, together worth $1,400; and a small bag of cocaine, the DPS said Friday.

The driver, 46-year-old Ivan Garcia-Pena of Nogales, was booked into a Pima County jail and was expected to face charges of possession and possession for sale of a dangerous drug.

Garcia-Pena had been stopped for two vehicle-equipment violations, the DPS said.
