CAR-T cell therapy is a whole new dimension in cancer treatment where T-cells are repurposed to recognize and destroy cancerous cells more effectively. In this variant of cellular therapy, T-cells are genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor, CAR, on their surface; thus, these receptors enable the T-cells to locate certain types of proteins on cancerous cells.
