  • doses of Testosterone E

To answer a p.m. and give you guys a chance to chime in, and donate your 2 cents

In 1996 Bhasin et al performed a study and administered injections of 600 mg of testosterone enanthate or placebo weekly for 10 weeks. It was a controversial study in those days, as they stated:

The doses of androgenic steroids used in previous studies were low, mostly because of concern about potential toxic effects. In contrast, to our knowledge the dose of testosterone enanthate administered in this study (600 mg per week) is the highest administered in any study of athletic performance.
Undoubtedly, some athletes and bodybuilders take even higher doses than those we gave. Furthermore, athletes often “stack” androgenic and anabolic steroids, taking multiple forms simultaneously.
We do not know whether still higher doses of testosterone or the simultaneous administration of several steroids would have more pronounced effects.
    Don’t worry we know!!

They randomly assigned 43 normal men to one of four groups:
Group 1: placebo with no exercise
Group 2: testosterone with no exercise
    Group 3: placebo plus exercise
Group 4 : testosterone plus exercise
Two weeks before day 1, the men were instructed to begin following a standardized daily diet containing 36 kcal per kilogram of body weight, 1.5 g of protein per kilogram, and 100 percent of the recommended daily allowance of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.
The men received either 600 mg of testosterone enanthate in sesame oil or placebo intramuscularly each week for 10 weeks in the Clinical Research Center. This dose is six times higher than the dose usually given as replacement therapy in men with hypogonadism and is therefore supraphysiologic. Doses as high as 300 mg per week have been given to normal men for 16 to 24 weeks without major toxic effects.

The serum liver-enzyme concentrations, hemoglobinconcentrations, hematocrits, and red-cell counts did not change in any study group

Plasma concentrations of total and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides did not change in any study group; plasma HDL cholesterol decreased significantly in the placebo-plus-exercise group. There was no change in the serum concentration of prostate-specific antigen in any group.

In the testosterone-plus-exercise group, the increase in muscle strength in the squatting exercise(38 percent) was greater than that in any other group, as was the increase in bench-press strength (22 percent).

Our results show that supraphysiologic doses of testosterone, especially when combined with strength training, increase fat-free mass, muscle size, and strength in normal men when potentially confounding variables, such as nutritional intake and exercise stimulus, are standardized. The combination of strength training and testosterone produced greater increases in muscle size and strength than were achieved with either intervention alone. The combined regimen of testosterone and exercise led to an increase of 6.1 kg in fat-free mass over the course of 10 weeks; this increase entirely accounted for the changes in body weight.

Supraphysiologic doses of testosterone, with or without exercise, did not increase the occurrence of angry behavior by these carefully selected men in the controlled setting of this experiment.

In short this study proved what bodybuilders already knew supraphysiologic (higher then natural) doses of testosterone increased strength and muscle size, It didn’t change cholesterol, no prostate growth, no roid-rage at 600 mg per week. AND….the group receiving the testosterone with no exercise (the potato – couch) grew more then the placebo plus exercise group (the naturals) !! It gets even better ...the research shows that hard work-outs (naturals) with no testosterone shots had decreased levels HDL (the good) cholesterol, with other words: modest ( 600 mg Test alone is modest in our circles) use of Testosterone is healthier then natural training. I was always convinced that by example natural performing a “Tour de France” is ( very - very) unhealthy!!

To complete our little picture: In 2004 Woodhouse et al, performed a study in which they gave fifty healthy men different doses of testosterone enanthate.

The weekly doses of 25 and 50 mg testosterone enantate resulted in a lower than normal testosterone level. The 125 mg dose resulted in a more or less normal level, while 300 and 600 mg took the subjects up to supraphysiological levels.
Supraphysiological doses prevent fat from accumulating in the abdominal area, but only reduce the quantity of fat by a small amount. This applies to both subcutaneous fat and deeper abdominal fat.
The more testosterone they administered the men, the more fat they lost!!
It explains why older man mostly have more fat especially on their belly, of course a lower metabolic rate also contributes to that.

For the still interested reader: In 1996 Tricker et al performed a clinical research center study to study the effects of supraphysiological doses of testosterone on angry behavior in healthy eugonadal men. His conclusion was: Supraphysiological doses of testosterone, when administered to normal men in a controlled setting, do not increase angry behavior. These data do not exclude the possibility that still higher doses of multiple steroids might provoke angry behavior in men with preexisting psychopathology.

Bingo!! When you drink excessive amounts of alcohol the chance of an uncontrolled burst of anger when provoked is very likely. The same is very well possible in men using excessive amounts of various steroids. It depends on WHICH steroids you use. Mostly side-effect are described general, while in fact the type of A steroid is important (see our article 3 types of steroids).

In the year 2000 Pope et all studied the effects of supraphysiologic (600 mg/wk) doses of testosterone on mood and aggression in normal men.
His conclusion: Testosterone administration, increased ratings of manic symptoms in normal men. This effect, however, was not uniform across individuals; most showed little psychological change, whereas a few developed prominent effects. The mechanism of these variable reactions remains unclear.

What makes sense, when predisposed, AAS usage can make you bald, develop acne and bring psychological problems. This is mostly true with other hard drugs usage too. People with existing psychological problems increase their problems when they, by example, snort or smoke cocain on a regular basis. I've also seen it guys using Ritalin etc. This is my personal experience and believe, no scientific proven truth. When proving something that is true for all human beings is possible anyway. Thus I’m open for discussion.

The fact that the United States Congress has steroids listed in the same class as Herion and Cocaine says everything I need to know about the hidden agenda and misguided judgements made about the use of anabolics by the powers that be. They can post any study they want to and they'll never convince me that the study was unbiased. I just don't trust our leaders to play it straight theres to much money involved. I wanted to add that it seems that for every study they come out with proving what we in the field already know they seem to come out of left field with another study shortly after claiming the results they got in the first study can't be verified. They just don't seem to want to admit that they've been wrong all these years about the benefits that can be achieved with the proper use of steroids. Not only for maintaining your youth but an overall feeling of well being....God forbid we all look good and feel good then we wouldn't need all those other drugs they push on us
