  • rotator cuff work out?

    Hey guys,

I've always privileged my core muscles instead of trying to bulking. That is I guess why I'm not as big as I could have been. However, a part I never worked enough was the rotator cuff. Like the "Teres minor & major". It obviously is worked on while working on my back but do you know of any specific work out that specifically work on these?

Hey man there are some rotator cuff exercises out there. It would be kinda hard to explain it. You need more of a visual demo. Search rotator cuff exercises on the internet or you tube and I'm sure you'll find something.

I agree, it's tough to explain I normally do like three different ones as a warm up to doing shoulders.

there are exercises for the rotator cuff muscles, but your not going to make those muscles big or anything. Those muscles are support muscles. I wouldn't lift heavy for those muscles as you could tear a rotator cuff. but like i said, there is specific exercises for those muscles.

nah I know, I'm more looking for an isometric type of work out. I just want to strengthen them. I usually do weighed circles and stuff and scarecrow type exercises but I was looking for a change yet maybe a more effective work out

lateral raises are the easiest to describe :P

I am working on rotator cuff muscles as well because of some shoulder impingement and not being able to go above 185 on my bench.

I go to the cable machine and put it at head height, stand away from it, make sure my bicep is at a 90 degree to my lats and out to the side with my fist upwards, then pulling down. Similiar to throwing a baseball.

Make sure your bicep stays stationary.

Isometrics for it? hold your arm up in the air :P

Use the cable and do negatives for it - you'll feel the burn
